anybody here have UDPs with a decent system in there car im afraid with my alternator being the original and having like 750w rms putting on the pullies would strain it too much

capacitor is mostly meant for comps were your car wouldnt be running I would way rather spend my money on a h/o alternator

Doesn't a capacitor store voltage so that when you hit some deep bass notes in your system it can compensate for the lack of voltage for the alternator? I do not understand how that is a paper weight. I guess I could be wrong, I am not a stero system expert, but that is what I thought they do.

And as far as money on a high output alternator it would still spin it slower with the udp. I have heard people say you can get alternator overdrive pulleys to spin them faster with your udp, but I have never found such a thing. All you would really need is to get a smaller pulley made for your alternator.

Nobody who competes and really competes uses capacitors, they use multiple batteries. Well maybe a few people but I'm not talking about the 1farad capacitors you see in every system that drives through wal-mart parking lot. Higher Amp Alternators and Batteries are where its at.
