Stop. Take the 1/4 windows, and trim off!

Probably too late, the sanding and prep around them kills the molding. Without preping underneath them, you end up with a noticable line and buildup around them when sprayed. I understand that people can do work around some molding on the doors and other windows without removing them but there is a roll around them, the quarter windows are a straight edge against a flat panel and it's not the same.
