No I was in the Civic :lol

The Cobra sits at the garage at work so I was coming to work from home. Hence why I didn't have the car.

Hey now, I'm in college and can't afford a real nice DD right now. (By the end of the summer, yes)

I've been shopping around and found an 07 TL I like.

I'm at Hacc for a degree in Automotive Technology Management & Network Administration

I'll be at Penn State after that.

Ahh kool, I do work for HACC, they are one of our customers.. One of the guys that used to work for me is not a network admin at Penn State HBRG..

Interesting degree combo? Auto Tech and Network Admin? you doing double majors or 2 degrees? If you want a job in IT/IS let me know.

I also saw that Red Termi Vert again today at the Target/Wegmans shopping center.. you know that guy by any chance?

:lol Had my Cobra out today and saw him too near the Camp Hill bypass. Passed me and we gave each other a thumbs up.

The degree combo is just there because I love cars, working on them, but have a passion for networking/tech as well. Coudln't bear to have to choose just one so I said hell I'll get a degree in both that way I'm not limiting my options. Finish up my Auto degree this fall (maybe spring, not sure yet), and then start my networking degree in the spring.

What kind of job are you talking about? Where at?

Nice.. I drove home with the top down yesterday :D

I know what your saying, I've often considered doing some ASE classes or looking at some other degree plans for things I'm interested in.. I finish my Masters in May so I'll be free from school for a while...if I don't go for an MBA.

I work for an IT Consulting Company, I'm manage the security practice. I know a lot of people in this area (and others).. I can help you out. let me know what you want to do and I"ll help you get there.

I work for an IT company right now, but I'll keep it in mind man. Thanks! I was just curious to see if there was anything you had for the future...

a BS/BA is some form of IT is always a good thing, but if you've got great experience you can get by without it. It depends on what is needed, being a tech firm we have technology we are maintaining, and something we a pushing towards (new) always, so it varies..

I'm mostly responsible the security work, so you need to understand those concepts to be on my team, firewalls, networking basics, exploits, ALOT of policy/paperwork/compliance.. a good networking and server background is perfect for entry into the security field. You can learn fast, but it takes time to be very good. The other 2 groups I have responsibilities with are infrastructure (Windows, Servers, Virtulization, Cloud Computing etc...) and Managed Services (People pay us to do or provide for them).

I could talk about this to no end... but I won't.. if you ever need anything or have questions let me know.. If you work for an IT company in the area, chances are I know someone who works there too. :D
