So I went to check my oil the other day and the whole tube came out. I know where goes into the block, but was it attached, the tube is flared out but I couldn't find anything else. And am I going to have to go to a dealership to get a new one. The parts stores just have generic ones

The tube is held in there by a small bolt into the drivers side head. You may be able to reinstall the tube and that bolt.

If you need a new dipstick tube it will have to come from the dealer or a wrecking yard.

So is there anything at the bottom where it goes into the block or is it just the bolt at the header?

Thanks for the help guys

An interesting fact I found if anybody is interested.

An impropperly seated dipstick can cause you to run lean. Hrm

I couldn't tell you. I just read that in a trouble shooting check list. Plus my dipstick popped out and later that day I popped a running lean code

I really dont see how. Please show me where you read this.

Its would become lean because more air is coming in than the computer know. You PCV system pumps air through the crankcase (oil pan) get out enert gasses that get trapped in the from common engine wear. The PCV cycle air through it and pumps it into the intake manifold after the throttle body. having an unseal oil pan would allow more air into the manifold. You have to understand how the PCV works to understand why it would go lean. I have heard of people using JB weld to fix a broke dip stick tube.
