hey mcqueen how did you paint that logo on the side of our cars? you did the bars black right? I wanna do mine black i think
I stopped at a hardware store and picked up an 8oz can of black interior/exterior enamel paint. Had a few fine brushes laying around so I cleaned them up well and used them. Scrubbed the emblems to get all the dirt off, let them dry, and painted away. Make sure you fine some REALLY fine brushes (the tiny areas between the pony's legs are hard to get to without getting paint on the pony) and a one that will cover most of the width of the bars in one stroke.
If you get paint where you didn't want it, wipe it off and keep going. It stays wet enough to wire off for a few minutes.

No, I don't think it is normal.
Does that mean this thread is over?

Daddy I was referring to the thread title and how somehow y'all have managed to get this thread to 34 pages just bantering back and forth about numerous topics. I constantly see it near the top of the threads and figured I'd answer OP's question. Even though I don't recall the initial topic. Carry on.

I hope it's not, i mean even though we got off topic we still stayed tech generated for majority of the time...and it's just easier than starting a whole new topic because i know me mcqueen and matt and some others are at least going to reply up here where some people might not on new threads.

but sounds good I think i'll do it this weekend as well, i'll probably buy me a art brush to do the stripes and a outline brush to do the smaller areas. thanks!

What's amazing is how we've managed to keep a good bit of it technical. On topic is questionable :shiftyeyes

yeah, because one of us always has an answer for the other one :lol :yes but the initial topic was about shops refusing to do work on parts you didn't buy from them... :)

I was by no means saying it in a negative way. Threads like this are good imo because, as you said, it has stayed tech, and its an ongoing thread, almost like a chat feature.

LoL I'm sure we're way past it but shops don't do it cuz of liability!!! The speedshop I took my car to to do the suspension adjustments wouldn't even let me sit in the garage while they worked and it was raining out!!!! Bastards!

yeah thats what i was telling him, luckily he found someone who got it done and for fairly reasonable price, now if you wanna answer about the hood i'm looking at buying and if you have any input on installation that would be great :D I can't decide if the 5" is to big or not.

Decisions Decisions.........lol

Why 5" what are you planning to shove in there that needs THAT much room? Cowl hoods look good IF there is something underneath that needs the extra space. Everything in moderation I say.

Yeah I'm not a big fan of that bumper. I guess you could see what kind of deal he'll give you then sell the bumper and put the spoiler on your car. Hell if he gives you a good enough deal you might be able to sell the bumper for enough to cover what you paid for both.

at first he wanted 120 for bumper and 60 for spoiler, he said if i came to get em he'd give em both to me for 120. he's going to send me recent pictures tomorrow, and that the spoiler was taken off and wrapped back up so it is mint condition but we'll see
