Just a basic question for you guys.

Ive put about 50k miles on my car now(DD) and the steering wheel is looking hideous. Scratches on the silver( no clue how) and now the leather is starting to fade. Any ideas on what to do, or do you guys have the same problem?

I have the scratches as well, but the leather is fine. I wonder how much those pieces are from the dealer?

The leather on the steering wheel in my Expedition started to fade from the 11-1 o'clock region, and at about 5 o'clock. I just had an interior guy dye it and it looks great.

Yea i was gonna check the prices on those or wrap them in CF. Trying to elimate the cheap silver interior slowly

you could also keep an eye on ebay for some cheap GT500/bullitt steering wheels. they pop up every once and a while. I grabbed mine for around 150 IIRC. My stock wheel had a deep scratch on it too. The red stitching goes well with my red leather, but the bullitt steering wheels have black stitching. Im trying to phase out the silver as well, and have been contemplating a CF dash...

yeah its extremely easy, just make sure you disconnect the battery lol. It's the original airbag, just had to pull it out the change the wheel. Two bolts on the side hold the air bag in and a "one time use" bolt underneath it is holding on the wheel.

I know this is in the wrong forum, but..

Would these Bullit wheels fit on a 2010 Mustang? Also, would the wiring for the airbag and cruise switches be the same? These wheels appear to be the same as mine but mine is rubberized. Cruise buttons appear to be the same also.

The ebay listings say 2005-2009.
