Hey everyone I'm new to the whole mustang thing I just got a 2006 V6 last week. I love it! Anyways I don't like joining forums without anything to contribute so here is my iPad install. It works great and looks sick! Tell me what you think. I think I'm the first Mustang guy to do this.

That is incredible! So bright and crisp. Deffinitely unique! Welcome to the forums!!

I didn't watch the video because I'm on my phone but I hope you have some kind of anti theft system or it's secured in there good :D

That is badass man! Nice work!

+1 on what kind of alarm are you working with and or is it removable. If so how do you remove it? How can you by pass your alarm?

Where do you live? Address and zip please? :D

I'm still working on some finishing touches. It is semi removable but the plan is to have it in there permanently. I don't like the idea of constantly plugging and unplugging and that whole mess. Plus the couple of systems I have seen that have easy removal look cheap. I wanted mine to look like it was made for the car. It is pretty secure as is. I'm going to install a Viper 5901 alarm in the next couple of days so that should help as well. I'm also building a faceplate that will cover the ipad and make it look like a cheap stereo.

Damn thats nice! I want an iPad so bad... I would want it to be removeable tho since I have tons of uses for one outside the car. What kind of storage space does it have?

I don't think that would work in a 99-04 tho. Don't think theres enough room in the dash to fit it.

I'm going to get another one for use outside the car. I can justify it because the ipad only costs $499 and a nice car stereo that can do what a iPad can do will cost $1200 so I'm saving $$$.

that is sooo sickkk. did the ipad just plug right in where the head unit goes or did you have to do alot of fabercating and extra extentsions and so forth?

I had to do some fabricating to get it to fit in there. But not a huge amount. I will try to post a write up as soon as I finish it.
