What are the best headers for an '07 Mustang GT? How are Edelbrock or Hooker headers?

I don't know about the edelbrocks, but i've done some research on the Hookers. Now, I don't have them per say but like I said...I've done some research.

The Hookers are SuperComps, so naturally they aren't street legal. As far as I know that's the only downside.

Their Loud, and give nice gains in HP and TQ.

ARH (American Racing Headers)

Kooks

Bassani

MAC

and numerous others are out there. The first two on my list are on the expensive side. Headers on these modular motors are simply expensive as hell.

You can go with shorties, but there no gains..

think an all slp headers x pipe and lms would be tooo raspy?

and do all the headers and mid pipes have same gain.. i kno x pipe gets more than h

I have been looking at getting Long Tubes later on, and JBA has a shop close by. Anyone have any feedback on their headers?

I'd go with the MAC's half the price of all of them, and just as good! I have some in stock.. check my signature site, and online store.

Hey Alan, so now you're only stealing half the money? How about selling them full price so you can pay everyone back that you took money from and never shipped the parts? How about my $440?

As I understand it one of the problems of non-cast iron headers is their shorter life span. Mandrel bent or welded headers are prone to rust and or burn through. I have been told that the best material for this type of header or any part of the exhaust system is 304 SS. Stainless steal is better then just plain steel and 304 SS is better then 409 SS. I don't believe MAC's are even made from SS but I think ARH's are. If you don't want to be replacing your headers down the road you may want to look at this aspect.

I had a set of the BBK shorty cermic headers put on my 07 GT (with no other mods) and the car felt like it had a bit more torq. It also gave it a deeper sound.

IMO check out Borla off road with h-pipe. A guy in Ohio, HP performnce has a good price on them.

I just installed a set of ford raceing shorty headers and I'm a bit disappointed. I have a roush axle back exchust and when I installed the shorty headers it sound not as loud. It sounds nice on the road. I'm thinking of going all the way with long tube headers. I think I also lost some low end power,

Im ready to buy some headers to.. allthough im not sure which ones are Illegal and which ones arnt :/

I'm goin with Hookers, matching X-pipe, cherrybomb glasspacks, and w/e tips i like...since the glasspacks don't have them etc.

Technically by law all Long Tube Headers are illegal because they relocate the cats. And by federal law the cats can not be relocated ever. But as long as your emissions place doesn't do a visual inspection it doesn't matter.
