You can see what my car has done to it, but it just seems a little quicker than what it should be (not that im complaining). Cause friends that SUPPOSEDLY have about the same stuff done, im still beating them by a couple car lengths. I bought the car from a dealer, and ended up running into the guy that traded it in, and talked to him for just a couple mins and havent seen him since. It was long enough to find out that it used to be supercharged. Whats the likeliness of it being chipped, and how do you find it? Not really sure where its located...

It very well could have a chip if it was one that came with the supercharger. Most supercharger kits have a piggy back chip that goes into the ecu. I have one out of the Saleen we worked on that had a Procharger

So what is mutlyi4 talking about, now you guys got me confused. lol Ya i would like to find the guy again and figure out what was actually done to the car besides "it used to be supercharged". It just seems a little quicker with more torque than most my friends cars.

If it still does have a chip in it from the sc it wont be quicker, more than likely slower since it would be tuned for something giving it more air than what it really is getting. It could just be that you are a better driver. or your car just responded better to the mods than theirs. Not every car acts the same way with the same mods

I guess thats true, and unfortunately the car is an auto...lol so better driver is out of the picture...i originally planned to buy it and sell it but then once i realized all the problems and put the money in, i decided to keep it so i wouldnt really lose money.

So if they reset the computer, it should be ok then now...?

chances are it doesnt have a chip in it anymore if he sold or got rid of the sc. You should be fine

an 03 would not have a chip the ecm would have just been retuned and if it had a supercharger than yes it has a tune
Not trying to rip on you bud, but this is bad information. We can do chips for our cars instead of programming the ecu iwth a tuner. Most people just do it with a tuner because over time they need a tuner anyway, and burning chips every time you add a mod gets cumbersome

It most likely wouldn't run if it still had the supercharger tune, and if it did run it wouldn't run well at all.

There is also the possibility that after they took the supercharger off they had another "performance" tune put on for the stockish motor. But I think that gets overridden when a dealer resets the computer anyway.

A couple of car lengths isn't a big deal in a race, especially if you just got a jump on them right away. Now if you were pulling away from them pretty easily then I would say there is a significant HP difference between the two cars, but with only a couple of car lengths in the 1/4 it's most likely just getting the jump or a slightly better combo of parts. Also like F8L said, even two cars of the same make and model of car will respond differently to the same mods. With bolt-ons it's probably only a few hp difference though.
