pay 2$ more at the pump for better performance and MPG's, yes thats right, you get more MPG's with better gas.

That's what we're saying with a 93 octane tune, you'll get more mpgs
Well many places have a 93 performance tune or a 93 mileage tune. A tune that is more performance oriented even though using 93 octane would decrease your mpg when compared to a stock tune. At least mine did.

Thats what Id do is run a 93 octane tune, seems how i only run 93 anyways and I still got the stock tune. I really wish I had a tuner, but I just spent my spending money for the week on my dual exhaust lol.

What exhaust did you get?

And which tuner is recommended?

Its going to be pretty much custom, I had to buy the mufflers and the tail pipes today though since no shop near me has a mandrel bender, except for one place and they don't use it because they said it went to ****. So I am going with thrush welded mufflers because I watched a lot of videos of the same setup I want and am getting and I like the sound. This is the setup done to a different v6 check it out, let me know what you think.

Thrush welds are on the v6 right? Maybe both lol, but the v6 sounds good, you still running cats in this vid? Also what kind of midpipe you running on it, or are they straight pipes? Sounds like your still running 2.25" piping judging by the popping during the decrease of rpms. I am sticking with 2.25" piping because itll be cheaper lol and not having huge tail pipes doesn't bother me at all. All I care about is it sounding good for a v6 lol.

EDIT: Im going to be pissed if your not running cats lol thats the exact sound I want :p

it is still 2.25" and straight pipes...cats are still on :yes

Doesn't sound as great on camera compared to in person...It sounds really good in person.

And no thrushs on the cobra...Better stuffz on her :D

Sounds real good, when are you getting this done?

Waiting for parts to come in, they should of shipped today but didnt :( oh well. Then the Meineke I actually like wants me to bring the mufflers and tail pipes in when I get them, then they will lift my car up we will walk through everything I want done, he will give me a price and if its good enough I will hand him the money and call for a ride home, or if they let me I will chill and watch him work lol. :yes $80/hour is their labor rate, idk how long a job like this usually takes but this guy apparently has the rep for being fast and efficient hes been working on exhausts for the last 30 years, he apparently use to have his own local shop but Meineke was taking all his business so he now works for them.

Woohoo! that just made my day, now I can't wait to get this done and roar my ass out of their parking lot. He wants me to go there with the parts when I get them and show him EXACTLY what I want done since it is a custom exhaust. I told him I just want straight pipes and he wasn't following me because the car wasn't with me. So straight pipes is just cutting from the cats back, put the muffler on after the cat (or a small piece of pipe not sure here) then another small piece of pipe then tail pipe with no cross over right? I want to make sure I got all the info down I will draw a quick example of what I am talking about.

Your drawing is exactly right (besides the fact that your cats aren't that close to your mufflers :p :lol)

Don't put any crossover pipe between the two pipes. And just a heads up...with the thrushs i noticed right after installing it sounded a tad bit ricey and I was a bit worried...Just give it a while and it'll lose that ricey sound :yes

Exhaust jobs shouldn't take long, it seems like you just take old pipes off put new ones on, and since the car is lifted they're easy to get too. But damn $80/hour is HIGH in my book lol

So they do put a piece of pipe between the cats and mufflers? Ok good. And how ricey? and how long(ish) did it take to loose it? Because I was talking to the guy about what I want and he said it might end up sounding like **** but I am so going to prove him wrong lol. I had a long talk with Mcqueen last night via pm about exhausts and I learned a lot about exhaust systems. I love learning new stuff lol.

I know I love learning something new. How much did your pipes cost?
