Guys I need some help. My company builds PC boards and we need to take pics of resistors and components that are really small, alot smaller 1/4". We want detailed upclose pics. Problem is with the cameras we have when trying to get really close up pics it doesnt focus. We were using a Olympus sp 590uz 12mp Now were looking at the Canon EOS Rebel T2i digital SLR macro photo MP-e 65mm f/2.8 1-5x manual focus. Figured you guys could shed a lil light on the subject since we have the combined camera knowledge of a chimp.

Make a new post, it will get more attention. Lighting and lens gets you on the right track though.

Canon 60mm or 100mm macro lenses will knock that job out and you'll **** yourself at the detail. Those two are by far there best macro shooters from personal experience.
I think something like my Sigma 105mm will do the job as well...

From my friends rooftop mansion. Every night he gets to see this...

**** Troy, really, Thats an amazing shot!!!!! What were your settings?
Hmm interesting...That and a few other "Import" libraries aren't showing up in my LightRoom previous imports section. I deleted it off my camera so I was hoping to find the raw file on my laptop still as LightRoom saves all your previous imports. Not sure what's going on but I'll keep looking.

Edit found it (well at least what the Exif data says):

1/400
f/7.1
ISO 100

Another one; this time this was before the sun hit the horizon. Wanted to get more of a "sun flare" rather than showing the ball of sun. I got what I was looking for :)
