bump.....

So what does the ----------- mean on my cluster?

ohh and I forgot to put back on a couple ground wires behind the dash so i'll try that and see how it goes
when i'm loading a tune with my SCT the theft light flashes and ------------ shows on the dash. idk if that helps. and yeah, def don't leave grounds disconnected. that will kill your battery if you have disconnected grounds.

the ------------ either means you have a blank tune loaded, the computer is fried, or the cluster isnt communicating with the computer (broken wire, blown fuse ect.)

check all your wiring and make sure you didnt crush anything. Try reloading stock tune and see if you can at least get your millage back on the cluster (this will isolate a problem with the tune).

Check all your fuses. The big fat greeen 30 amp (i believe) fuse under the hood for the ecu is a likely culprit...

Mk so it's getting fuel but no spark, so that's prolly why my oil smells like gas. But where's the big fat green fuse? Over by the cold air intake? Or one of the green ones in the box by the battery? It started twice idk maybe I blew a fuse after those 2 starts

ohh and my cluster is good now. I can see my mileage and stuff. So now idk where to look. Fuses?

Those fuses are near the battery... but they arent blown if your seeing your mileage again.

If you saw the "-----" i would suspect the problem is with your pcm or more likely your tune

Oh mmk. Well then what's the one over by my cold air? It's just one big silver one. Says Dominican republic on the side lol. Well since my gauge cluster works ok now, why wouldn't the motor fire? I'm troubleshooting righ now.... Bad spark plugs? The white part inside the plugs? coil packs? Blown fuses under the dash? 1 sensor I missed not being hooked up? I'm trying to check everything

I don't have my stock oil pressure sensor hooked up if that would make a difference.

There's a sensor by where the ac compressor was that's not hooked up anymore. Can't remember what it went to but it can't reach anything to plug into so idk.

Hmmm why did it start before and not now

Hook up the oil pressure sensor. I imagine that would cause the motor not to fire. If it doesn't have oil pressure the ecu isn't going to let it run i would hope

I would suggest reloading your stock tune. Then reloading your aftermarket tune. I had something similar to this happen to me on my '03 cobra. I had to reload tunes a few times and finally worked with no issues. But, i also found that my PCM was on its way out.

oil pressure sending unit will not cause the car to not start... it is simply a sender for the gauge...

the plug down near the a/c compressor is most likely your crankshaft position sensor... this is fairly important. It is what lets the computer know what position the crank is in. The car should still run without it plugged in... but I'd imagine it may have trouble starting with a brand new tune. plug it in...

it should be right near the bottom passenger side of your timing cover, right where it meets the oil pan.

I'll try reloading my stock tune, then my mods tune and see if that helps. Where is the PCM located btw? I'm so new to all of this. But I'm learning a hell of a lot haha.

Oh, and yes my CPS is hooked up. It was the ac compressor plug in that isn't anymore so that's kool.

What's the plug in that comes off of the same group of wire that goes to the fan plug in? It's rond and red on the inside. Same wire that goes to the fan but I don't see a plug anywhere for it.

One more.... What's the plug in that has the brown cap on the back of it, red on inside, kinda round, was just to the left of the ac tank (back left of engine bay). Coming out of the place where the fuel lines go. I'll get pics if need be

but that's where I'm sittin. So the stock oil pressure doesn't matter correct?

Thank you all so much for helping me. I'm trying to do a lot of research on my own but this helps a lot!!!!

the plug that is near the fan is for the AC pressure switch. So if you dont have AC, its got nothing to plug into...

The other plug i dont know what it is, a picture would help a ton.

and the stock oil pressure switch does matter.... it just wont keep the car from firing

yeah man, get some pics of these plugs and we can tell ya.

K so it would be a smart idea to T off my 2 oil pressure sender (stock and autometer) so I have both. That way the stock one sends info....

And what's the vaccum line coming from my passenger fender well into the engine bay. Coming off this round thing in the fenderwell with fuel lines going in and out of it.

the only info that the stock ones sends is to the gauge... as far as i know.

as for the vaccum lines, im pretty sure the vaccum reservoir is in the fender well... that may be what your talking about.

Figured it all out! Ran my vaccum line, went through the whole wire harness and double checked everything. Reloaded my stock tune, then my modified tune. Starts everytime!!! Sounds insane!
