as the title says its a 289 with stock heads (thats what the class makes you run.) this is more like just a refreshing of the engine but I took some pics along the way, thought you guys would like to see something different and how to make some decent power with stock heads. engine dynoed just south of 500 HP. :D not bad for stock heads huh.

Sweet build, did you at least do a port job or have the heads flowtested, matched??
What are your compression numbers???

Prolly a hardned pushrod but does look like oil pump shaft.

the heads have been flow tested. were alloud to port the intake and exhaust, and rework the combustion chambers but they have to cc check them and they have to have the same cc's as from the factory.

When I get my other parts in (UPS) then I'll take some more pics and update you guys.

How much spray?
Yeah, Thats a **** tun of power for a 289 I would think... I thought the most you could squeeze outa a 302 was 450 or a little over at the crank. And thats with aftermarket everything. There are 347 builds that arent even doing that... how the hell you manage 496 at the crank from a 289??

If you spin it, it will make good power.
