I am getting ready to order from them and just wondering what there quality is like and like to know what the likes and dislikes are? It's alot of money and I am not wanting problems with shortblock.

It's basically an updated 03 Cobra rotating assembly stuffed into a new 3V aluminum block. (kellog crank, manley rods, mahl pistons and Arp hardware) There are a few modifications that need to be made to bolt 2V parts onto it but it's not complicated. About two months ago the best price I could find one was from Late Model Restoration.

8 bolt flywheel, a hole for the timing cover needs to be filled and a new one drilled and tapped. The hole that needs to be drilled goes into a coolant passage and it is pretty simple to do. I just did one the other day and it took all of about 20 mins with a drill and tap. Once you are done just make sure that you apply thread sealant to that bolt.

just looked it up...not bad for the pice and shipping is good. the MMR shortblock that I was looking at is supposed to rated to hold up to 1000 rwhp. looks pretty stout, thats why I was currious. They quoted me 3200 shipped to the door. It's just hard when your looking to invest 3k into just your engine.

you could look into buying there rotating assembly then having a local modular engine builder balance it and throw it in your block. call around and see how much they would charge you for the machine work
