I have a 2001 mustang v6 and I want to start modding it, so far i've only done small exterior mods and audio, but I want to do some performance mods now what should I start with?

CAI?
a tuner? my cars an automatic
Exhaust..I was thinking just a y-pipe?
Gears?

All comments are welcome.

Welcome, I recommend a SCT tuner w/custom tunes for life for your mustang. It's a little on the high side for the price but it's well worth it. Any mods you do to your car afterwards, you just get a new custom tune and your good to go. My car is also an automatic and the SCT tuner really woke up my stang. I'm running the 93 Octane Race tune and the shift points/firmness and throttle response is very impressive. A must buy, that's just my 2 cents..

whats a posi? and you think K&N CAI is the best? I was thinking of just getting the no name brand from American Muscle.

Are handheld tuners really worth it?

and how much would 4.10 gears cost to get+installed? and whats the difference between 4.10 gears and 3.73s?

No need for using synthetic oil in my view, it will do nothing for you. Just use the recommended oil Ford specifies..You have to use a higher octane, 93 being the one I chose for my Race Tune from SCT. It's a really agressive tune and stresses the engine, therefore requiring you to use a higher grade of octane. You won't feel a huge difference in the car with a tuner, it just wakes up the car in my opinion. The race tune implements new shift points, shift firmness and throttle response for your car which is great.
