At the rear wheels? I just got a what I think is a very good price installed from my shop. Is the M90 worth the cost? Should I just save the money and get LT's and a better total exhaust system instead? Would I and my engine be just as happy with NOS? The reason I have limited my self to the M90 is that I still have 2 years on my factory warranty. Any suggestions from you folks is mucho appreciated.

Chris

^ first off welcome.

second, never ever call nitrous "nos" on a forum you will get murdered. Unless it is a NOS system.

Thrid, for the cost there are better superchargers out there. But to answer your question you are looking at about 385-410rwhp with a **** hot tune.

With the pulley and tune that comes with the kit it is about 360-370rwhp. With a smaller pulley (2.56 I believe), better intake, and dyno tune you will see about 420rwhp.

What I would do is buy the non-intercooled Whipple kit from Ford Racing. That will retain your warranty, and is a much more capable system.

what kind of deal are you getting. The only way i'd use the M90 is if I bought it for significantly less than what I could sell it for. Also are you looking for a particular outcome. Ie: hp or et at the track. You'll make as already said, 360-410 with it. I'd go with the whipple in a heartbeat over the roush M90.

When I had my saleen installed, There was a guy there with the m90.
He was very interested in my dyno numbers to justify all the work and extra parts to get what he made.
He put down higher numbers but I believe he was pretty much getting to the end of its limits.
I thought this mod would void your warranty? If the price is dirt cheap and I mean filthy cheap and your covered by warranty it might be worth it.

I think it depends on what your end goal is?
Daily driver, Drag racing,Budget etc.
If your on a budget and you just want a stronger running car thats covered under warranty this may be perfect for you.

I've used n2o and now I'm blown. I highly recommend getting blown:tomato
Having the power available at all times is much better in my opinion.

roush M90, saleen, and sometimes the frpp whipple will keep warranty. Biggest catch is having ford do the install. I've heard of some dealers keeping warranty and some not ont the frpp whipple.

As was said the catch with the FR Whipple kit is that a Ford dealer must do the install. The dealer quoted me about $1500 to install the Roush if I buy from them. They also wanna charge me $5495 for the blower! Thats 10% more than if I buy it direct from Roush! CJ's quoted me $5300 installed for the M90 which I thought was a very good deal. I like dealing with CJ's as they do a great job and go out of their way to keep the customer happy. The car is a near daily, fair weather driver. I go to the track to **** around every once in a while but I'm not by any means a drag racer. I think $6,000 is all that SWMBO is gonna let me spend. Maybe I should just trade in an get an 2011 instead of dumping more $$ into this pony???

have you checked to see if the warranty will be good if cj installs it. Either way you'll end up dissapointed after getting used to the power (imo). That's not even close to a good enough deal for me to be willing to buy the roush. If you're worried about the warranty then personally i'd wait. There are plenty of things you can do and keep the warranty.

The car has 4,600 miles on it. It had 200 on it when I bought it "used". The 3yr/36,000 runs out in April of 2012, but the power train of course goes on for another 2 years after that. I'd really like to get over 400 RWHP out of the car without going into the motor. BTW according to Roush as long as an ASE tech does the install I'm covered. Maybe I'll just do the LT and X pipe and wait for the warranty to expire. I dunno any other ideas (that pertain to the car that is)?

full exhaust, udp's, cmdp's, drive shaft, .....

personally i didn't worry much about the warranty, but i get why you would. i'd rather pay the dealer a bit more and have the warranty and be able to upgrade later w/o having to replace the sc'er.

We are talking minimal gains here though right? Maybe another 30-45 HP? Ya lost me a bit on the dealer install though??? Why would I want the dealer to install the SC if they are more expensive and their work will not be as good I'm sure of that. As long as any ASE tech does a Roush install the will honor the warranty.

FRPP Intake Manifold, FRPP TB, FRPP Hot Rod cams for $1749 from JDM. Add in Steeda UDP's, LT's, lightweight d/s, dyno tune and you'll have a sick N/A setup

True but how sick? First any warranty is out the window, second we are approaching SC cost. If I was to ditch the warranty I think I'd see much more gains with stock internals going the SC route right? In that case this is interesting at least to me with no knowledge pertaining to blowers:

2005-09 Mustang GT Edelbrock E-Force Supercharger Kit - 525HP

Ford Racing Performance Parts - [Part Details]

still a little bit pricey

VMP Tuning - Buy Ford SCT & GM Custom Handheld Flash Tuners Performance Economy Towing: ROUSH 2.3L TVS Supercharger Kit for 05-09 Mustang - Base

i like that kit and price alot better

about the only way to keep the factory warrenty is have the dealer do the install, no matter where u get ur supercharger

Yea the VMP kit you linked HBK won't work for his motor. The s/c and crank pulley that come in the kit produce around 17psi. He'll have to look at the other kits that have bigger pulley's to reduce boost level's
