You can go to any Autozone & "rent" a radiator pressure testor. It basically just pressurizes your cooling system & if you have a leak; pressure will drop & you should be able to track it down IMHO. The pressure testor kit usually comes with a cap testor as well. Odds are it can be as simple as your cap not holding pressure....

Pull the thermostat out and see if it's stuck closed.

I would park the car, fill it with coolant again and let it idle while you look over the entire coolant system to see where the dripping is coming from and go from there.

odds are if it's dripping it's not going to be a cap or stuck thermostat but anythings possible

We looked at all the hoses & noticed that the hose going from the coolant reservoir to the radiator had a hole in it & there was coolant sprayed everywhere. I replaced the hose & refilled the coolant & went to start it up ... & my battery was dead . I'm waiting on a jump right now.

ah that sucks.. well at least the coolant leak issue was a $5 deal.

It could have popped the Bose because it was overheating. It still boil the thermostat to see if it opens. It's a cheap and easy check.
