Well, I finally got the car back to the track after replacing some broken control arms by swapping in some very nice team z relocated uppers, double adjustable lowers, and running my new 27x11.5" Hoosier QTPs.
The car is 10x more consistent compared to before. I made a total of 9 clean passes with one 12.9, two 13.0s, three 13.1s and three 13.2s all with over 2000 ft DA with as high as 2357. My 60fts also improved showing a best of 1.759. Not too bad for my first time running slicks. I would like to add that there is absolutely zero track prep on wednesday nights since they are cheap and it's bracket racing.
I started out the night running 12 psi in the tires and launching at 5600 and got some spin off the line, so I dropped the pressure to 11 psi and lowered my launch rpm to 5200. I dropped the tire pressure to 10 psi to see if it would net me any improvement on the 60, and the car started to bog off the line. I ended up needing to bring the launch rpm all the way up to 5800 in order to cut the same 60s as earlier in the night. I don't know if the track got a little stickier as the night went on cause it seems like quite a difference for just 1 psi.
Anyways, I thought I'd share cause I was pretty damn excited to get the car back in action and running consistently. I might be going back out friday for test and tune to see how much of a difference a prepped track will make.
