help, how much more hp do i need??

ok im in a 1998 v6 mustang, exhaust w/ X pipe, flowmaster 40's, and a cold air intake.
saturday i race a 96-98 gt stang. he beat me by about a foot or two. we raced in the 1/8mi. how much hp do i need to clear about 2 feet more by the end of the 1/8 so i can beat him?

oh i was thinking more like 100 bucks or less that i could spend

btw is there any chance that just removing a lil weight here and there can make up for it?

...smartass. its possible man. only got 215hp. plus they have lost anywhere between 20-35% of their power by now. so it is very possible.

I bet your little v6 has a lot of problems with them :wink

As opposed to a car just as old with 70 less hp

my cars just special i guess ^^
could be i know how to drive it. i get the most awesome launches ever.
sucked tho, i did three races in a row and lost all 3...
i raced a fox 5.0 1989 stang. dunno if it was lx just that it was fox 5.0, lost to him by a car and like a fender maybe.
next i raced a old beat up ford diesel truck... had a turbo on it of course... had him for a sec till that turbo kicked in then it kicked my ass all the way to the end and he got a car and a half on me...
then i raced the 97 or 98 gt, which i lost by a couple feet distance.
now take note, i raced the fox and the pickup in the quarter, and i only raced the 97 or 98 gt in the 1/8. other wise he woulda for sure had like 2 and a half cars on me at the rate he was accelerating when he was passing right before the end of the 1/8.
and by the way how much is a good drag radial/what brand should i get. im about 2 need new tires neways... the dr's arent like... major heavier than normal tires are they? i was actually thinkin about takin out my spare for a few extra pounds shed.

and by the way i raced the ninja 250 in the qtr mile. i beat him by a full car by the end. the little ninjas arent very fast at all lol.

first of all your clearly racing a guy in a GT that for God sak i hope is stock and the Driver has to be a bad one

a v6 with 2-3 bolts ons wont lose by a few feet in an 1/8 mile

those things will rip you outta the whole and in the top end

yeah, right. lol. ****, i wont even have a chance to get out of 2nd gear. lol. they are NOTHING. lol

christorress lol. we're gonna meet up someday, we'll race, and imma show u lol. you've gotta be the biggest criticiser on here... just cuz u cant beat something cuz u cant drive dont mean i cant:)
if u think im lieing over a stupid forum when i ask questions then keep it to yourself, i honestly dont give a **** about peoples opinions whether or not they cant believe it or not. i just wanted to see how much more umph i needed to clear a few feet more in the 1/8:)
just stop posting on my topics if you're going to put down everything i say mmk ty:)
