ok well im saving for a new udp kit at rpmoutlet for 300 bucks. just out of curiousity is there anything else i would need to get or is it just an install. it fits all 99-04 v6 stangs and comes with gatorback belt. . sounds a little stupid i know but better safe than sorry. just anything i need to know before i buy. thanks for your time..
 
I forgot the name of the tool, but you have to either buy or rent some tool, think its called like a tensioner or something like that.... Someone else will prob come in here and correct me though.
 
its called a Harmonic Balancer (Pulley) Puller, difficult name huh! :p

wait the kit comes with H.O. water pump pulley, H.O. billet crank pulley, H.O. harmonic balancer, and gatorback belt. when i buy this would i just be able to get it installed with out buying anything else. thats what i meant to say. if so thats all i need to know
 
Mustang ASP Underdrive Pulleys & Belt Package If I were you I would get this one. I will be alot easier on your car. The one you were looking at was a 42% reduction crank pulley which will be really hard on your car. This one on the other hand is 25%... I'm gonna find the links to get it cheaper... hold on.
*EDIT* I lied, sorry. It looks like that is as cheap as it gets for 01-04

yeah but if i buy that would i be able to install it without buying anything else. i just want a better udp that i can buy and when the package comes have it installed without buying anything else for it.
 
with that one you will still have to rent/buy a pulley puller. You will have to rent/buy a pulley puller with any UDP you buy, none of them come with a puller. Just to point it out to you.... copy paste from RPMoutlet with highlights for you to pay attention to... Blue means it will stress your alternator bigtime / Red means your car would just turn off at idle

Proof Positive the MOTOBLUE H.O. Pulley Kit will not effect your charging system.

INDEPENDENT TEST RESULTS:

MOTOBLUE H.O. Pulley Kit Installed
Engine running everything else off: 13.8 V @ idle (750 RPM) ... 14.06 V @ 2500 RPM
Add A/C (low blower speed): 12.55 V @ idle ... 13.94 @ 2000 RPM
Add Rear Defrost: 12.11V @ idle
Add Stereo w/amp (low vol): 12.05 V
Add Headlights (low beams): 11.83 V
All above @ 2000 RPM: 13.65 V


Note: idle voltage requirment ... 12.00 V

well im looking for the next mod to do at a reasonable price. im not sure what to do. what about a tuner? is it worth the price tag? and is there a tuner that will give me free tunes for life.
 
For the price range, there is the options of
1. Either of the pulleys
2. tuner
3. gears/TLOK if you can do the install yourself... not recomended

yeah i was looking at the sct sf3 tuner w/3 free tunes. would you reccomend it for the price? whats the gains like becuase 400 bucks for a tuner is alot lol
 
If its from AmericanMuscle then you will get free tunes for life just for buying it. So that in itself will pay for the tuner if you plan on modding your car and needing new tunes for a while. Guess they never changed the "3 free tunes" because you get free tunes for life...
 
Whenever you get a new performance mod I would get a new tune just to squeeze out a few extra HP. And if you plan on getting gears then your going to need the tuner anyways which I am sure you already knew. So its best to get the tuner early on. Even without any mods and a nice 93 octane tune you will notice a nice difference.

yeah i want to get that as my next mod. after that i think i will just cut my modding until i get my gt when i go to college. goona vortech that thing and everything else. its goona be a weekend car/ sunday drag car. fast enough to own all the camaros but still can be taken to car shows you know
