I haven't picked up my dslr in a while.. but I did take this with my dads "so-so" kodak point and shoot, with a little editing in Picnik it came out ok.

Thanks Troy. Was trying out my new D90 with the 50mm F-1.8. Heck of a camera. But has tons of settings I need to learn.

I will agree. I like the sharpness of the buildings compared to the softness of the water all on a dark back drop.

It's almost like your eyes can't decide what it wants to focus on more. I like it.

Just saw your different versions of this shot. I like the last one better because the foreground and background aren't competing for attention.

One trip to the zoo, I happened to be there when the lion had sinus trouble or something. It was clearing its throat repeatedly. The loud growl-like sound that came from that beast....holy mother of God.. Got to be the most powerful thing I've ever heard.
