V6 exhaust tips?

A friend of mine just bought an 03 V6 and would like to have a deeper note to the exhaust. Canhe acheive this with a tip only (hp is not an issue)? If so, what is the best brand for fitment, looks, etc. He is by no means a mechanic for the install. Any help will be much appreciated!
I do not know much about cars either, only motorcycles!

who was asking about the tip ? him or you..doesnt matter..also wheres the address where i could find both of ya so u can meet the chief smackahoe tribal hand of mine for asking that...u could get a better exhaust tone with a tip....the tip is buy a exhaust system

no need to be a smartass! All I need is an answer! He is saying he is going to put on a tip and I was wondering what your opinions are. I have no idea about cars but am trying to help a neighbor. Truthfully cars do not do anything for me when it comes to speed.

What brands and types do you recommend?

don't worry brush it off he does that from time to time...

uhh you can only get a better sound if you have a ricer....

you have some options going true dual... with 40 series...
put an 80 series to dual tips... both flowmaster mufflers
or get some dumps after the stock muffler... or disconnect at the y pipe... that would be a cheap easy way

+1 and for the best sound do true duals which means no y pipe either and H or X pipe where the exhaust pipes go into their own mufflers and run out the back from their...

thats gonna cost up to $400 tops... if you go with an 80 series which is decent you can put it in the stock location and run a true dual from their

yup and for those who still want some place orders on summit... they still have them... and i don't think flowmaster will discontinue the 40's series for a while

any news on the guy that was putting super 44's on his sixxer?? im still waiting to here that, im considering just going ahead and doing it without hearing them

i think there are 2 cats, im not completely sure, and no i dont think it was you onemanzu, i keep thinking it is mustangrcr or somethink like that. havent checked the prices for the 44's, how much did you find them for?
