So, any ideas on how to get my headlights back to being new-ish looking? they're all yellow and hazy, i've tried cleaning with headlight restorer but havn't had tons of luck. Any good tricks or something to buy that would work well?

Oh, and i'm thinking about getting blacked out tail lights, but not sure if it would look good (2001 silver mustang) any ideas on how it would look?

I would honestly start with just buying new ones from American Muscle I think they offer a semi smoked and full smoked headlights (light and dark tinted) to match you're blacked taillights?

demon 54 has blacked out tailights and it looks pretty good. i think it looks better with darker colors though like red, sonic blue, highland or electric green, etc....
Haha AWESOME! I hit the status of mentioning my name when someone wants to do something I have. I feel loved :hug :)

Looks really good imo, especially with the 3rd brake light done too. Ill find a nice pic for you, hold on.

Here sorry, its the only one I have on this comuter...\

I used Rustoleum lens tint spray. It was like $5 at autozone lol. Didn't want to order VHT online and couldnt find a place around me that carried it.

Oh and thanks for the complement :) I get a lot of them for my tail lights lol, EVEN from a cop haha. He told me he wished the force would let him do it to his cruiser.

O'Rileys, Pep Boys, and Advance Auto carry it

usually you have to sand the headlights then use a rubbing compound.. should make them look brand new. you can buy the kits that come with the sand paper and rubbing compound for about 15$ ish

Thanks guys! Now, just figured out a verizon wireless sign that was in my yard fell and scratched my car, no dents or anything, but made apretty good scratch by the headlight. Know of any ways i can make it atleast less noticable?

Headlights - Sand really lightly with 800 grit wet, 1500 grit wet, and 2000 grit wet (3000 grit after if it suits you) Buff out the scratches with a buffer and polishing compound

If the scratch in the paint is down past the clear coat then you wont get it 100% out. Use a light amount of scratch removing compound (dont go wiced crazy here or you'll do more damage) then wax over it to protect it

And I think tinted tails always look good in silver

It's either that or buy some stock headlights, which, might look a hell of a lot better than getting covers for my car. Just the fact if i wanna spend my paycheck all at once or not.
