I just cant take much more of this anymore. So dont yell at me cause i knew this was going to happen going in this weekend. Went to the drag strip yesterday for a big event they were hosting and brought the stang.

only had one time trial (which was a crappy run anyways) and ended up, (of course) on my first elimination run, blowing out my rear end. Havent looked in there yet but since i have done it once already, pretty sure i wasted the spider gears. :eek:

so really dont want to go thru the hassle of putting new ones back in there just to go to the track again and go thru the same song and dance. I kinda want to stay away from a tloc. Im on a pretty tight budget and dont have the money for a detroit locker/ eaton truetrac. The only other option that i have been told was a spool.

What do you guys think? i kno the advantages and disadvantages of a full spool/mini spool but i wanted to see what you guys thought. I know im gonna need new axles. with that in mind I drag race at least 2 to 3 times a month when i have to time and money.

cliff notes:
broke differential spider gears
Need somthing that will hold with my power levels and 4.10s
launched at 5500 when it snapped
Full spool or mini spool / other options on a budget

look in my garage for my mods

I have videos too if you want to see it happen lol

my 31 spline tlok takes a beating and has never let up on me

to run a spool you have to run c clip eliminators too, theres another 175 bucks on top of the cost.

I ran off a trans brake and two step on a truck differential with no problems

I put a ford racing 31 spline diff and strange axles in mine when I broke my axle and its doing well for me. Thats a pretty high launch though bro.

Well I'm assuming you're still on those BFG Drag Radials, so it really sux you can't get a Trutrac. I would say get that one, but like you said you are on a budget. I've heard when you do C-Clip elim's that the rear leaks. Don't know how true this is, but it's what I've heard. Spools will squeal a lot on the street, but if you don't care, get one. I think CJ Pony has a 31-Spline "Open" diff for only like $200 or less.

A dot slick. All i have is a 31 spline upgraded rear. Engine and trans were both stock until the i lost 3rd gear. Now the engine will be the only thing still stock

I might bring mine up a little. I snapped mine at the stock taper right at the diff. Are you planning on staying N/A? Your cars impressive and wicked looking.

Nice bro. Not a lot of 2v's doing what you're doing stock. So you just built the b-Jesus out of the suspension and a 4.10?

3800 or so on the brake/two step on my 31 spline truck differential and not a single problem out of them

and weight reduction along with full bolt ons, but stock long block
