Quick question, what would be cheaper or what would be better?... Doing Turbo or Supercharger?
I like the supercharger better, i guess im just oldschool, a lot of ppl here like turbo's and i couldn't imagine having one. Superchargers are easier to install, and would be cheaper overall, but both are still expensive and both are still between the 4-8k range and even higher if you want.

dood, ^^^^ that was your 1000th post (I think) coolio.

to make this less random... Yeah I would probably go super charger anyways because my friends dad could get me discounted SC's.

idk guys dont bash me its just... idk when i think s/c i think gt500, termi. when i think turbo i think of ss cobalt or srt4 or something along those lines. ( btw i know those arent ricers technically....

I think its just all from the past really, if you look at all the old muscle cars, none of them had turbo's because they didnt really exist, the only thing that had a turbo for forever was diesel Volkswagens, and then turbo's were **** in comparison to superchargers for a long while, its just recently that a turbo could be considered = or greater than a supercharger, and a lot of ppl still prefer the old school supercharger for its raw power, sound and looks. The supercharger is classic, the turbo is not.

the cobalt ss comes either turbo or super. :) i hate the cobalt though. my sister's 06 is horrible. i mean its reliable and all but the interior has so much plastic in it its like driving a giant lego car. im glad i have leather:)

you heard me lol i dont want to be the bad guy here and be bashed but i prefer s/c. i dont know what it is but like the cobalt ss, srt4,.... alot of cars like that are turbo. when i think of doing s/c i think of v8's and muscle cars.... nothing personal. please dont tell me your turbo

Not yet, but yes I do plan on going turbo when the money allows. You have a strange way of looking at things...

Cobalt is supercharged if I'm not mistaken. Man, tell me my uncles car is a ricer... 105mm turbo, I think you don't know what a turbo is, nor what a turbo does.

Well ****, my uncles webpage is down. I'll find a different example...

My uncle in the right lane in his old car...

Sorry, this is the only pic I got of the turbo...

If you are a reader of MM&FF, this car was in one of the featured articles (I'll try to find the article... My uncle built the whole turbo kit for it.

Edit on the first post:) I having a video of me driving too.
Click on the video in my signature to hear what your car can sound like with a little work. I love how mine sounds and it's actually one of the reasons I decided to not sell it.

Just pointing this out but how did my exhaust post become a turbo/sc discussion thread eek.. I know I asked about them but cmon now >_> I only wanted to know which one gave you more bang for your buck.. Obviously both take a good deal of money, so I got the answer I needed. More focus on how to improve my exhaust, less on whether turbo=rice!
