I'm getting my exhaust done probably next week and want help on what I should do, I want it to be extra loud i was thinking about flowmaster 44's mufflers but would the single chamber 10's be loud and still sound good? also should crossover the pipes or do straight catback duals? any advice is welcome, thanks

This

also look into no cats and longtube headers

i 2nd this hole thing cuz i lrned the hard way with SLP!!! lol

but i have one little question to tack onto this quote
reg flow40s or super 40s?

dont longtube headers just make it sound deeper? and whats the difference between reg and super?
im only quoteing half of it

and sounding deaper is a bad thing????why exactly ??? lol

just joking round

you cant have longtubes with cats?

Get glasspacks! Off road H pipe with glass packs will be more than loud. I won't comment on the sound quality... Might be raspy???
I'm NOT saying to get glass packs...although if anything get slp and an h pipe although I'm still gonna get neg rep for saying tht lol idc cuz every1 who shuns slp loudmouths with and h pipe (aka my current exhuast set up) has and is only goin by vids on youtube and those vids have on bid diff. X pipe vs h pipe

But trust me when I say and he say flowmaster 40 no midpipe aka divorced duals with long tubes = loundess with a nice tone

Here's a few exmples based on what I said

Flowmaster 40 off road h pipe (no cats) long tubes

YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.

Slp loud mouth I's h pipe (my vid) I understand itzs in the garge hence louder but I was jus done working on adjusting the mid pipe.

YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.

Same set up as above...jus out side

YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.

And for glaspacks...jus don't do it

Prettymuch stick with flows i m jus giving u vids based on what ppl have said...but its ur car do what u want

FYI your youtube links dont work

I got a cat back setup on mine, Xpipe w/ Flow 40's
... A GT drove by last night and gassed it ... well ... I lost taste in my V6

lol yesterday afternoon I had my dad drive my car up and down the street real quick so i could here it. well ... its just not the muscle car sound I wish it would have !!! very deep tone that runs together, cant really here much of an individual tone from each cylinder hitting ...

H pipe/ Divorced I understand from peoples post would make it sound better but, your just not gonna get that great sound out of a catback V6 ....

I will say if your in park or neutral, and gas it some, it sounds pretty good their, especially at a cold start, but idle and driving just isnt much to it ....

I click the youtube links and brings me right to the exact vid....anyway I like ym exhuast now dispite common discontent against slp. Its actualy sounds "good" its loud not extremely loud but it is only if u get above 2.5k...nice rumble at idle and regual stoplight drive offs but every now and then it is a little much and ik notice thth it will have no tone some days

listen to this car

and listen to this, this one has thrush mufflers also

heres another video of the same car

and heres one of it being driven

The only setup i'm going to be have to have is with cats on because of my states emissions laws, what I want out of my exhaust is loud as possible without sounding bad.

So far the only mufflers that have seemed to have good loud sound to me on youtube is thrush and slp, the flowmasters sound good but they arent very loud it seems.

Will i lose backpressure+low end torque with true divorced duals and no crossover?

Get thrush welds, flowmaster 44s are supposed to produce a lot of interior resonance, and you don't want that. You would hate driving with it on the highway

okay. so im currently looking at doing the same thing with my car. ive looked around and ive asked questions. everyone seems to have the own thing that they like. well. i sat down with a custom dual exhaust man and we came up with this idea. were gonna leave the stock manifolds, leave the 4 cats, cut the y pipe out, and run strait dual exhausts with no mufflers out the back. he says hes done this to v6 mustangs before and they have a good tone. (not Ricey). not only that. but this is the cheapest way to make dual exhausts. he can get the oem tailpipes and run pipe from the cats strait to the tail pipes.
