Optimum (OPT) Opti-Seal - 8 oz | Detailed Image

Anyone used this? It seems to be a great way to save time. They say you simply spray it on (very little), spread around with an applicator, and walk away...

This would be great for me to use on problem spots inbetween waxing and on family's cars. It said about 1oz will do 4-5 cars... so for $25 you can do 32 cars...

Nope havent tried it, but thats the product I have been telling you I have been wanting to purchase as well it has great reviews and I'm sure will provide great protection over BFWD:) And you can used it on your wheels to seal them as well! Let me know if you purchase it.

I might in a month or two when I get some extra cash. I mean, for $25 and spray on, spread, walk away... it sounds amazing. Esoteric (Todd) did a review on it and he said he loves it. He said:

  • Extra time - BFWD
  • Short on time - Opti-Seal

You could seal a car in 10mins with that stuff... would cut cost down for customers. I forsee this:

  1. 2BM Wash & Dry (45mins - 1hr)
  2. Clay (45mins - 1hr)
  3. One step polish with one of the "known" AIO products (2-3 hours)
  4. Seal with Opti-Seal (15-20mins)
  5. Clean and Dress interior (30 - 45mins)
  6. Seal wheels (10mins)
  7. wipe down/clean engine bay (30mins)
  8. Windows (10mins)

Your lookin at about 6-7 hours for a FULL detail. The only thing I did not account for was any deep cleaning of carpet you would need to do.

I was gonna charge around $30/hr for a detail like this... thats $210 for a full detail (one step polish). Thats a good time/price to me.

Yeah just make sure you get paid by the hour and not by what you calculated. In case any unforeseen things happen while your doing this because things always take longer than expected, and you forgot taping. Also instead of using opti-seal you can use poly-seal thats a AIO product and Todd says its a great one step also by the name you see its a sealant as well. Who's car are you going to do?:popcorn

No on specific. I was just thinking this would be a good product to have on hand for my dad's car, the GF's, ect. I could also use it as a touch up product inbetween Wet Diamond applications.

For example my fender was repainted, I need to wax it... but I am bein lazy. With this I could be done in 5-10mins.

Thats whats so cool about having that product when your feeling lazy you can still protect your ride after a wash. Hey how is no rinse is it a good product or do you like glossworks better? I know its off topic but maybe you can send me a reply through pm so I dont mess up your thread:)

haha np man.

I LOVE GlossWorkz. First off, bein 1oz per 4-5gallons makes it go a long ways. It smells like watermelon which is amazing. It is also VERY lubricated. It almost turns the water into a gel when its on the paint its so slick. It does not foam a lot. Its more focused on lubrication.

It is now my go to wash product.

Thank man I am going to be ordering a gallon of it and also opti-seal to add after every few washes for some added protection since my car is always outside:( i need to get a car cover bad but the good ones are expensive. How is glossworks in the foamgun does it work ok?

I am interested in how this stuff works. Look forward to seeing a Zat review on it lol. I am starting to slowly get into the detailing scene...

On a side note, Zat your car is ****ing sexy as hell. I like how you painted the ponies on the side, I think I am going to do that today.

I have not tried it in the foam gun yet. However, I don't think it would work that great. It does not foam alot in a bucket, and it is more made for lubrication than foam.

I will try to remember to try it out next wash and let you know.

I have only ordered a 16oz bottle so far. I use about 1 1/2oz per 4-5gallins. This way it will last me about 10 weeks if I wash once a week.

On my next order I am going to get a gallon of the CG synthetic detailer however. I really like it, and its a good price. I have also noticed that CG sells their products directly even cheaper than Detailed Image.

They do and their products from them directly are at a great price but you wont find glossworkz on the site for whatever reason, might have to call first. I have the gallon of CG synthetic QD its the best QD I have ever tried it does go fast though. I will be needing another gallon soon. Also I figure it would be good to use the foam gun with glossworkz even if it doesn't foam alot, it will coat my car with the slick solution:)

for most daily drivers i would personally use something like XMT360 that is going to polish and seal, and give good shine, just something to use on most daily driver customers where you can keep the price cheap and cut down on time as well... and will also keep you from having to use/buy so many products, something like d151 cuts fast and is also going to leave a nice finish if the cust doesnt want to pay for a sealant

I will check it out. You know dude... honestly I don't even use the foam gun much anymore. I found it more of a hassle to use than helping. If the car is extreamly dirty, or it has been more than a week since a wash, I will use it. However instead of using it per panel I simply rinse the car, coat it in the foam, let it sit for a hot second, rinse off, then go into a normal 2BM wash.

I need to buy some QD, but I am so tight on funds atm. Got a car show next weekend. Just gonna have to pickup a bottle of Meg's Detailer for now. Soon as I get some extra cash I am gonna buy me a gallon of the Synthetic and a bottle of Opti-Seal.

Good point. I think I am going to look into these AIO products if I ever get customers. It sucks... everyone I talk to never seems to want to get the car detailed. Granted I have done very little advertising. I have business cards, but I need to get put out at some areas so people can get them. So far I have only handed out myself.

yeah i mean multi staging is cool if the cust wants to pay for it and has a basic understanding of whats going on...most aren't going to appreciate the work and time that goes into multiple stages.. all they see is the finished product and have no idea of the process...here check this out..like it says in the article run your business however you want but it put **** into perspective for me

Business Card Holder

You can thanks me now haha just kidding man, the only thing now is to make sure your ride is always clean, so people see the work you do. I want to try this trick out hell its not expensive and its worth a try:D

Omg... i am such a ****ing idiot. Why the hell did I use Detailed Image?!

In my defense it was 4am....
Haha thats what I was wondering. Hey I called up chemical guys today but they wanted to sell me Glossworkz for $48 a gallon since they said its in low quantities. So I just ordered it from DI and used the discount code so I got it for like $47 but thats with 10 shipping. I also ordered the langka blob eliminator for dings and scratches from autogeek. I didnt end up ordering the opti-seal I need to save my cash at the moment:( So did you check out the card dispenser
