i got two problems.

1st. im not sure but i think my clutch is going bad. the clutch pedal for some reason has a lot of play in it, then sometimes it doesnt really have any at all. does anyone know why it would be doin this? and how i can fix it.

2nd. when i shift from 1st to 2nd, and sometime from 2nd to 3rd, it feels like my shifter his hitting something and it makes it hard to shift. its not grinding but it feels like something hitting it and causing it to make a not so good sound. im afraid its a serious problem and want to fix it. all help is appreciated.

what do you mean your hitting something?
it feel like it's hitting the gears or somethin, i'm not the most knowledgable person when it comes to cars but it only does it when I shift up gears, when idownshift to second it doesn't do it

Clutch out of adjustment maybe? You'd think if the syncros were going, it would clash downshifting as well.
im not sure about the clutch, im gonna have my friend look at it cuz he should know the problem with the clutch. and i was thinking the same thing about the syncros. its making it hard to shift sometimes and its pissing me off

Try changing the fluid in the tranny and see if it helps any and deff +1 on the cable and firewall adjuster.
Yea, I changed the tranny fluid and that didn't help and I'll try the cable and quadrant

as far as the "hitting" 2nd to 3rd gear, i have that problem too. when the car has not reached normal operating temperature, at high RPM's i just won't go in 3rd gear.

clutch frok or just the nature of the beast= 3650
