So hubby has a Lincoln Mark VIII that he got for FREE. I've been debating with him AND myself...Would it be worthwhile to swap motors/ect? Or should I just go with performance mods for my 6?

PS: I'm not going to sell my car - so please don't suggest :) I'm a woman and we ARE diffucult (well, at least I can admit it, right?!) :-D

it'd be a lot of work and probably not worth it overall. but if your feeling adventurous go for it. i would if i had the opportunity to.

Yeah, that's what I am thinking...I'm always up for a challenge. However, might just sell it to buy some things for the 6 and call it a day.

I wanted to see if anyone has ever taken it on...

I want it faster :) Not sure where exactly I want to go with it yet.

It seems as if it would be a little more trouble than it is worth...

Sell the car and then buy the basic mods for the Six then get it boosted or charged

and jw, has anyone looked at her garage pics ??? :( makes me sad ...

Because it looks so good and it's a 6? Yeah I know. And thanks for getting completely off topic.

Just not liking the spoiler :(

other than that yeah :) looks great :)

I think there is a guy in the 99-04 mod section that is/did a swap from his GT with an 05+ GT motor. Not a V6 swap, but they can get you some info on engine swaps there.
I don't care for the clothes hanger/shelf looking spoiler either, but she came like that. Looking for a whole decklid with potentially the 03/04 cobra svt spoiler. LOVE the way it looks <3 BUTTTT Not sure yet...

LSD + gears
windstar
boost
I told hubby before I wanted the windstar swap for my birthday/christmas :)

Hubby who?

And forget the car, I want more pics of you:D

Seriousley, if you want it to have more power, the swap is not a bad idea but is going to take you some modifications.

1. The mark8 engine harness are not the same as the mustang so you'll have to use a cobra engine harness and wiring harness.

2.That motor has restrictions that are not on the cobras, so look to only make around 230/300 hp/tq with a straight motor swap.

Although it will have more potential, to me it's not worth the swap. My 6 is making around 400rwhp and the same tq and is holding up nicely.

To be honest, if you can sell the car for 3k you would have enough for a custom turbo kit. Thats if he can do the welding.
