Putting a Cobra Front Bumper on a 2004 Mustang GT

I'm looking at putting a Cobra Front Bumper on my 2004 Mustang GT 40th Anniversary in the near future. Will this fit on my car and what year bumper would be necessary? If anyone knows where I could purchase one that'd be great. Also how much am I looking at for installtion and and buying the bumper?

Heres a few pics of my car still needs some work. Getting new performance tires in two weeks as well as blacking my tail lights out. Just ordered new head lights since mine were all foggy and messed up.

I got my cobra bumper from pershing auto on e-bay.. I think it runs around 300 plus shipping already painted your color from what i have herd the paint is pretty spot on, and i know the quality and fit of the bumper is almost identical to OEM but a hell of alot cheaper.. All else you will need to complete it is the foglight bezels which i think are about 12$ a piece from tousley ford over on svtperformance who i highly recommend you can find him in the vendors section... You can get oem fogs through him aswell for about 100$ and the chin spoiler for i think $130 and the hardware from him to install the bezels and chin which are like $10.. All else you would need is to get the pigtail adapters which are like $15 for the foglights.. Since the cobra foglights require the use of a different styled bulb from out gt's foglights. and also another thing you will want to purchase is the cobra grille delete or the 3rd piece to the mach one grille delete which is about $30.. Thats all you need to switch over to a complete cobra front bumper and to do it right.. If you have any other questions let me know.. Grayson

Gray thanks a lot bro really informative! I've always wanted to put a different bumper on my GT but never new which bumper to put. This is my first time on the forums and I saw your car and instantly I fell in love with how you set it up! haha

for the installation part im not sure maybe phone around to some body shop's and get quote's

Just keep in mine Op that you will still need the stuff i listed but you will also have to add paint to the cost.. And our bumpers are fairly easy to get on and off.. i think you could do it yourself in your driveway to save on cost..

haha! I bought my car about 7 months ago and haven't even touched it really. I tinted the windows but that was about it. Like I said I just ordered some new head lights cause mine were all foggy and the stuff to buff it out is junk. Getting new tires soon and blackin my tail lights. I actually like your rims cause their dusky and match the car. What kinda rims you got and where from?

They are gunmetal saleens and i got them from oewheelsllc.com but they dont make them anymore.. But im getting another set as soon as i can.. Some flat black xxr 521's they look badass and are really cheap..

I say do it. Some people are against it, but its no differant than putting a mach 1 grill delete/chin spoiler on the GT

I agree with ya there for sure, they're always seemingly harder to find or more $$$. I would never even consider going 03-04 front if it weren't for those 300ish shipped ebay bumpers that are already painted...

I can't can't even seem to get my stock bumper repainted for that around here.

i bought my 03/04 cobra bumper off ebay as well. $380 painted and shipped to my door. paint matched perfect (surprisingly). The bought the fog light kit form LRS. $160 i think.. comes with fogs, bezels, and pigtails.

And another thing if you were ever intending on getting HID fogs. Dont bother with the pigtails.. Just order an 899 bulb size hid kit from somewhere like vvme which are only like $45 and your good to go.. Thats what i did..

Lol Some people, mostly people WITH Cobras (joe) Are totally against putting a Cobra (or Termi) bumper on a GT....But honestly, whats the differance if you put Cobra wheels, or Mach 1 wheels? Or like a Cobra R hood or something?

Also the 99-01 Cobra bumper looks better with the right hood (in my opinion) Like 99-01 Cobra bumper with 2000 Cobra R hood is sexyyyyy
