I finally have another Mustang. My first was a '67 coupe with the straight 6, the next one was a '87 with the 2.3L and now I have '10 V6. I went with the 6 to make the wife happy, didn't want me speeding. :) Well I am OK with the performance so far, I will be adding the CAI/tuning by years end. Then a true dual for sound and a bit better flow. I am hoping for another 30 to 40 HP so I think that will work. Once it is out of warranty I may start looking at a supercharger (what the wife doesn't know can't hurt me). I have found stock v6 fogs just wondering if there is any grill fogs yet. If not opinions on if someone may come out with one? I am also hunting up information on where I can get the '11 18-inch Painted Wheels (Dark Shadow Gray) Ford is putting on now, with out going to the dealer. Last has anyone peeled the stripe graphics off? If so any information would be helpful.

Thanks

You probably wont see 30-40 from just a cai/tune and some exhaust. You will see maybe 5 from the cai, maybe 5 from the exhaust and depending on if your car is an auto or 5 speed you will see anywhere from 10-15 from a tune.

The setup I was look at was from American Muscle it is the JTL + SF3 Tuner. AM has on their site that the setup with a Bama Custom Tuning can get 30+ increase. If this is not true I may wait. Is there any fact to their statement?

thanks

You can absolutely gain 30RWHP or more by putting a cold air intake and tuner setup on the car, like the one from Bama that you were looking at. There are many people out there who will vouch for that, as we've been seeing these gains for almost 6 years now with that particular vehicle.

It's not only the power, but the difference in driveability. You'll get throttle response, power across the entire RPM range, autos get faster firmer shifts, etc. The whole car will be night/day difference.

As for warranty, any flashing of the vehicle's PCM will have warranty issues. HOWEVER, our SCT tuners keep your stock program so that you may load back to stock at any time. The dealership CANNOT tell that a program has been in there. Let's say you have to take your car back to the dealer Wednesday. You could do 1 of 2 things:

1.) Wednesday just before you go to the dealer, switch the cold air intake back, and reload your stock programming with the SCT tuner. When you get to the dealer, your vehicle's PCM will be stock, but they'll be able to tell SOMETHING happened, because your drive cycle will be blank. The same thing that happens when you unhook your battery for any period of time. The dealership can't prove a program was in there, and all you have to say was that you went out of town and unhooked your battery for the weekend.

2.) Return it to stock Monday, and drive it Monday and Tuesday approximately 50 miles (stop and go, highway, etc.) and this will fill in the drive cycle and the dealership won't even be able to see far enough back to tell anything happened. :) I recommend this one.

If you have absolutely any other questions whatsoever, please feel free to call and speak to a Bama Custom Tuning expert directly at 888.226.9764 Monday-Friday 9AM-5:30PM EST!

Good luck!
