Does anyone have a short throw shifter like this one? I was wondering if this is good enough quality to put in my stang, its cheap enough but i dont want to put in crappy parts just cuz they're cheap. Anyway if you have an info id appreciate it! Thanks

I dont have that one, I have the steeda tri ax, but they almost like identical. Maybe a little shorter, but i would go with one, makes shifting a lot more firm.

DO NOT GET IT

i bought one, it was defective, AM sent me a new one, then it happened again and i havent had a chance to take it off.

basically what happens is after awhile the shifter starts to spin, so say your looking directly down on the shift knob, i am able to twist it left and right in a circular motion about an 1/2" either way.

Steeda tri ax is way better anyways.

Alright I kinda figured it wasn't that great, i just wanted some confirmation. My stock shifter works alright, but I think i would like a newer one alot better. If I buy one of the Steeda ones it may be a while, still payin my stang off plus insurance :p

so am I, but I put in a CAI, 8.8 w/ 3.73s, stereo system, rims, tuner, exhuast, and looking into a cam for this winter break. :p

I feel ya, I'm paying the car, insurance, phone, 2 credit cards, food and all that good stuff only making about $270 a week. Plus I'm a full time college student. Really hard for me to save money, specially since the parts I'm looking at next are almost all over $500.

Yeah, it kinda sucks. i just ordered a CAI and got it today, going to go put it together now, but id like to find an 8.8 rear so i can have the better gears, LSD, and more weight before the winter, that will come before the shifter, i was just asking because i do plan to do that in the future

I can do that with my stock shifter :shiftyeyes
+1 thing to fix

I have the shifter. It works pretty good if you are on a budget. Mine has a little wiggle in third. I have had it for just under a year now. I am not to worried though. The wiggle is nothing major and the only reason I noticed it was cuz I am anal about my car.

I'm getting a little worried I'm going to break mine when I slam it into 3rd
lol, i saw a pic once of a mustang where a guy shifted so hard into third he broke his shifter handle and punched through the radio

:lol

Thats about what I make, sometimes more or less.

Still living at home w/ parents makes a world of difference in your finances !!! lol Im glad I didnt rush outta home right after Highschool !

the 2 credit cards, which you should never go into debt on those.... Just dont spend more than you can afford, and pay the bill on time and they arent as evil as everyone tries to make them.
