I am moving to FT. Campbell KY next spring and was wondering if anyone was near there or what drag strips were around there. Also what racing events are held in the surrounding states?

According to MapQuest, Clarksville, Tennessee is 23 minutes away. Below are two links: one to the speedway and another to a local Mustang club.

Clarksville Speedway
Wildhorses car club Tennessee Chapter

If you want to take a road trip, Indianapolis is home to the NHRA U.S. Nationals, Indianapolis 500 and Brickyard 400.

clarksville has an 1/8 mi track that is not the best taken care of...bowling green has the closest 1/4mi track at beach bend. well when you get there most of the division will be there and all the mustang groups will be out and about in full force...espically with the deployment cash flowing..

The TN chapter on the Wildhorses are in Clarksville tn which is part of FT Campbell. -They can be found at Wildhorses Mustang Club
-Also The Official Home of the Tennessee Mustang Club is a state wide club with many members in Nashville, Knoxville, and Murfreesboro.
-Local strip in Clarksville is at the fairgrounds.
Clarksville Speedway
In the surrounding area of Ft Campbell you can make a very short drive to Beech Bend dragstrip or Union Hill dragstrip.
Hope you enjoy TN!

Thanks a lot. I am so looking forward to getting down there. There is basically one highway that goes north to south here in Alaska, and only one drag strip. Hopefully I can hook up with some of u from the forum when I get down to the area. Also thanks for the links to the clubs. There not any mustang clubs up here. Mostly imports. I would go hang with them every now and them but their under hood looked funny to me as did mine to them. Thanks a lot!

Trust me after being in Alaska for over five years and being confined to a small piece of road system, once I hit the lower 48 and can actually move about, I will be all over the place hitting as many race tracks as I can. I hope to meet a couple of u guys and check out Ur rides and maybe race together at the track.
