i have a 04 gt vert with pretty much full bolt ons (headers going on in a few weeks) and 410s as well as a sct hand held.

i want to run a 100-125 wet shot. i have the ngk 1 step colder plugs and getting a seperate tune with -2 or -3 degrees of timing...the question is how bad am i going to be roasting tires with my 410s i have 275/40/17 sumitomo htrz 2s out back. id only be spraying from 40 mph in 2nd till about 115 in 4th.
also if i wanted to push it to a 125 shot would i be ok with the stock fuel pump?

looking for some feedback from those who actually have nitrous and are either spraying a 100 shot or higher...

also im not to sure if my clutch is even stock i bought my car used about 7 months ago and it was pretty much stock other than a short throw and cat back. car seemed to be babied and i am the second owner. Since then i have been doing some power shifting and and hard shifting every now and then and have ony been to the track once, but it still grabs hard and chirps 3rd and even sometimes 4th. i currently have 46k miles on it. if it is indeed stock im wondering how long it will hold up. i will not be spraying to often
 
youll be spinnin on those tires, suckitomo's are garbage for traction.

You are fine on the stock fuel system if you run a wet shot 100-125

yea i read that thread already, but figured id start something more active and up to date. and yea i know i need better tires but maybe i can run from 3rd then...lol i would only be spraying 2 gears lol 3rd and 4th....on motor the car does not spin 2nd, as long as i sping but still some what go with out hitting the rev limiter or redline im not to worried. also im gonna gap the plugs at .35 . and pull what 2 degrees for the 125 shot?
 
and that was for a 125 shot rated at the flywheel or whp
looks like he has a zex bottle so i'd guess rated at the flywheel. i've read that a 100 shot is safe on stock timing so if you spray 125 and pull 2 degrees with one stage colder plugs you should be fine. on my '95 i had 255's on the back and in third at 50ish they would spin like crazy when i sprayed. that car had more power than a full bolt on 4.6 but i still dont see you hooking in 2nd at 40. but only one way to find out ;).
 
My tuner recommended me to not go over 100mph on a stock fuel pump with a 125 shot. Which track do you go to? I'm just south of you in Miami.
yeah with anything over a 100 shot and a full bolt on car i'd be afraid to keep the stock pump. my car is full bolt on minus headers, and i'll be spraying a 100 shot and depending what my afr's are up top i may go to a svtfocus pump. i'll be spraying come spring, already have the kit, and if you still are curious if a stock pump can support the shot i'll let you know later on op.
 
My stock fuel pump was maxed out with the 125 shot. It was close, but still safe on the 100 shot. I put a Focus SVT pump in it, and with the 125 shot, it was at 92% duty cycle.
 
what kind of RPM's are you at in 2nd gear at 40mph? with those 4.10's i bet you are gonna fry those summi's. i ran a ZEX 100 shot in my car with a 255 BF Goodrich G-Force and on stock gears i could put a hurting on those tires. the juice is loads of fun though haha, have fun with it and be sure you run a window switch in it!!
 
On the subject of tires though, you'll be roasting them pretty badly. I break loose punching into 3rd with a 100 shot on 4.10s and Nitto 555 tires. But that's also due to how crappy the stock suspension components are. I'm sure with a better set of control arms I'd do better with traction.
 
If anyone wants to know im parting out my nitrous kit let me if you need something ill let things go for the right price
pm me if you've got an automated bottle heater. i dont need the actual heater just the parts to make it automatic for the pressure. ;).
 
sorry to threadjack, but im planning on installing a 100 shot on my stang, will I need to start using 93 octane?

ok guys maybe ill stick to a 100shot for the sake of my clutch and still being able to somewhat use 2nd gear with my 275 sumitomos...and yes 93 octane only when you spray....or race gas :)...btw kit will be going in with in this next week
 
Zex makes a 4 electrode plug pregapped for nitrous systems....40 bucks for 8...
