I'm doing a bit of planning for the distant future, i would like to build my 1970 302 into a 347. is it possible to make 500hp safely? what parts would i need, i know the partsneeded but i need to know companies and sizes.

Yes. 500 bhp can safely be made with a 347. What kind of budget are looking at? It will not be a cheap build.
uhh none really because i want to do it the best way possible, and i'm in no rush, and once i have ebough money i will do it. so none really
 
Yes, a 302 will hold 500 bhp. At minimum you're going to want AT LEAST a 185cc head. I would recommend Trick Flow Twisted Wedges because of the updated valve angles, and better cross section. A TW185 typically performs about as well as an AFR 205. It's going to like a single plane intake, such as a Victor Jr a lot more, and if you want good driveability, a custom cam would bring it all together.

Scat makes great stroker kits for the bottom end.

Those are good heads, but the CNC'd 185s are a little better IMO. For pistons, you'll just have to to decide what your goals are with it, and what kind of fuel you want to run. I had my heads milled to 58cc, and used a -22 dish piston, for just under 10.5:1 compression, so I can run pump gas.

yes i want to run pump gas, and if its not too much trouble could you send me a link to the heads beause i couldnt find them
