Two tires that are very highly rated: the Continental Extreme Contact DW (Dry Wet) and the Extreme Contact DWS (Dry Wet Snow).

The customer reviews are consistantly excellent for the Continental tires above: excellent in the rain, very good in the dry, very quiet in daily useage, and a big UTOOG rating for wear in the DWS.

Who's tried the Continental DW and DWS?

I just replaced my '05 GT stock 17" tires with Contintental "Extreme Contact" DWS (I live in PA where there is some snow), and the difference is awesome. They stay stuck in the dry, and there is absolutely no comparison in the wet. The rear end used to be all over the place, and even spinning tires getting away from stoplights - like on ice; now I've pushed the DWS pretty hard in the wet and never had them break loose yet.

The ride is a bit softer than before (it was a tad bit harsh with the FRPP K springs and dampers I've got), but dead solid and flat in curves. By the way, I love'em. :D

I wanted the DW's at first but they didn't have them available at the time for my size.

im about to get some tires for mine. i'm running the stock pirellies and i can litterally ROAST my tires for a full 5 seconds in 2nd gear. i'll probably get a set of bf-g gforce. i had those on my last stang and i liked them a lot better than the nitto 555's i had before.

I love the g-force tires. Can't go wrong with them except they are a little costly although not really more than any other performance tire.

they're about the same price as nitto's, but they're made in america and grip a **** ton better.
