my 1998 gt has a t45. i just replaced my trans. put a new clutch in resurfaced flywheel got a new clutch fork. new pilot bearing and throw out bearing. clutch will not disengaging. we have adjusted it all the way. doesnt work, not welded to flywheel or anything its still on stands:mad::mad::mad::mad:

Nope what? Give some more info instead of being pissed off. Cant help you with 1 word answers bro

What you want to do is turn your firewall adjuster all the way in. go underneathe where the cover for the clutch fork is. Make it so the TOB is almost touching the fingers on the clutch, very close. Tighten the cable to the fork. Then adjust the firewall adjuster to how you like it.

Is there any pressure on the clutch pedal?

pull up on the pedal, see if the quadrant is slipping when you push on it. if that checks out, look at the position of the TOB related to the pressure plate. it should be just on the fingers, have someone push on the pedal, check travel, and see if its doing what its suppose to. if so, then the pressure plate or the disc could be wrong/bad.

yes there is pressure on the clutch cable and no firewall adjuster
and if its the clutch or the damn pressure plate ima want to throw it across all of Oreileys

Well go underneathe and adjust the cable so the TOB is VERY close to the fingers on the preasure plate.

Double checking the TOB is my suggestion as well, it's surprisingly easy to get it to fit backwards. Otherwise, I'm at a loss if it's all new stuff. Something *must* be installed improperly for it to not work, you know? A quick double check of the work after leaving it alone for a bit might help you figure it out (fresh eyes and whatnot). Clutches on these cars are a PITA, so don't get too frustrated if it isn't working out right. I crimped a cable into the bellhousing one time and had to take the whole thing down again and wasted another hour under the stupid car, so don't feel bad if it's something totally dumb.

your next time taking it out if you have to it will be a breeze trust me. It will get easier the more you do it. Trust me i know, ive had mine out a lot within the last year. It sounds like something with the quadrant and cable. Replace the junk stock quadrant with a better one and get a firewall adjuster.
