Hey guys, i'll be going on vacation soon and wanted to know if i should do anything to my car, i'll be gone for three weeks. I don't think three weeks is long enough for anything to happen to the car but i just thought i'd ask. Also i've heard that i should fill up on gas to a full tank so condensation doesn't build up in the tank if it was 1/2 or 1/4 tank, is this true?

Topping off the tank is good because you will not have to worry about how much gas you have when you get back. If you have a garage you can put it in, do that, and a good cleaning and waxing is also a good idea. If you have one, a battery tender works well, no worries about the battery being dead when you get back.

The final thing is that you have to do is take all of us with you on vacation. It's the best thing you can do for your car. :D

It'll be fine for 3 weeks. I have to leave my cars all the time for much longer than 3 weeks. Most fuel systems these days are very well sealed to filling it's not 100% necessary, but not a bad idea either. For the most part be sure to lock it!

Haha, i can afford to take everyone sure. Thanks guys.
Sweet! When are we leaving/coming back and where are we going? We need to know so we can start packing.

Is the car inside or outside? If it's outside, make sure it's someplace that gets shade and isn't going to get defecated on by birds for 3 weeks, it's not pretty. I figure SoCal doesn't get much snow, so the suggestion not to park it somewhere it will get hit with a plow is probably unnecessary.
