If this is ur dd then just duall the exhuast I guess for a better than stock sound and for looks and call it a day and for the fast part
Save save save save........save for a cobra....

:2 cents
Yeh your right on the Cobra part for fast, but I think its more fun to make a v6 go as fast as a Cobra. Yeh I'd get my ass kicked by a Cobra if I raced one, but as my car sits right now, **** I wouldn't race a Civic. I still have some "get it to normal" parts to buy. I have get a new MAF (cleaned mine, but didnt work), need to find a vaccuum leak I have been looking for for weeks. Right now I have no exhaust other than stock headers and cats, cut off the muffler and pipe right behind the cats. I was going to work one day, took a back gate onto Ft. Hood, went over a "flip up" gate and tore a big ass hole in my muffler, so I took it off. I didn't like the "hissing bubbly" sound it was making. Yeh as someone on here has said, it sounds like :puke but it sounds better than a hole in a muffler.

So been thinking...what does it cost to make a 4.3 stroker? Machining, pistons, rings, bearings, cam, pushrods, roller rockers, heads machined, **** I'm thinking close to $3000 or is that to little to much. Never done it so dont know.

well battle buddy, welcome to MM. sorry your stationed at hood, lol.. See my signature. Depends on what kind of stroker you want. so far i have roughly 450 in mine. still need my bearings and gaskets, rings, and a 01+ flywheel. However I'm more or less just doing a stock rebuild with more bore and stroke. If you want forged, then your gonna have to pay a little more. you can pick up your hardware for 1800 through ssms.

Okay, in all honesty, I'm all about go-fast mods and spending money you have on enhancing your engine...

HOWEVER,

I think the stock 1999 and 2000 V6 Mustang looks like pooey with the chrome headlights and weird wheels spokes and crap (this is completely my opinion by the way).

Here should be your next mods IMO:

Some good wheels and tires (Bullitts, FR500s, Saleens etc.)
Smoked OE Headlights Smoked Mustang Headlights (99-04) at AmericanMuscle.com - Free Shipping!
Mach 1 Grill Delete
Mach 1 Chin Spoiler
Some Good Lowering Springs

THEN Go for your exhaust:

Take a look at their rides, and model yours after their's and you will have one sexy ass car.

Interesting, 3k on a 4.3 but your against going turbo ??

I alway liked punypony's 6. That exhaust sounds beautiful and not retarded.

Lol, Thanks. $1800 isn't bad. Thanks for the input, will definately keep that in mind.

Just get an exhaust w/ longtubes for like $450 then the windstar kit, tuner, gears/t-lok then save for procharger. What I said should leave you like $250 toward a procharger/vortech/whatever.
All on the list! Thanks.

I'm all about "Muscle". IMO if you have to have "Forced" induction, then its being "forced" not actual "muscle". Turbos on Mustangs just isn't "Muscle", like I said IMO. I had a turbo'd 1986 Mazda RX7 when I was stationed at Ft. Drum, NY. Yeh I loved it, but then again I didn't. I'm not into the "Ricer" trend.

So you don't like turbo? Or supercharger I guess since tha makes it "forced." Don't even do a 4.3 then, it's honestly a waste because you'll still be slow compared to almost anything else. But then again it's your money. Our V6 just doesn't have any muscle, unless of course you enjoy being slow. Might as well just sell and get something with a V8 if you're into all that theory.

Yeah, then by the time you have that much money in that all out N/A engine you could have had a way faster FI engine with some spare money to repair stuff. I think go fox if you want NA power. Or new 5.0. But if you want to stay NA V6 get a 4.5 SVO engine...lol

I mean N/A can be fast. but it's definitely not cheap. I know a guy that runs like 9.7 N/A, but thats also in a Fox with a 502 stroker and he has a LOT of money in that car. Like tens of thousands.

And you know what, he is now going twin turbo and pushing for 7's. Boost = win.

Which one would you go for, twin set up or procharger? The funny thing is I raced a few ricers here. All about the turbos, **** just with the little bit of what I have I got em. I know they are 4 bangers and all. I would love to go the procharger route, but I want to do some deep research before going down that road. If I could get a good 4.3 stroker goin good, I would have a good 10-12 sec car. **** just with the Jmod, CAI, stock motor on a 2000 6er can get a 12.5 in a 1/4 mile. But I want to be able to do better than that. If I cant do it with out a procharger, then **** I'll go down that road. I hate the ricers around here that are all about their fukn turbos and thinkin theyre badass only because of them having a turbo. I dunno. I dont mind it, but I just see twin turbos are more for a 300zx and not a mustang. Supercharger should be on a mustang IMO.

What is this ignorant you speak?

Jmod, Cai, you mean 15.5 not 12.5 right?? You made a huge jump between 10 and 12 second car, like an extra 5-7000$ Anyway you don't need twins either a single turbo setup will do just fine.
