I got a show down with our new store manager. he's got a gt500 it looks like a 05-09 shelby gt500. think we might go sometime in late march. it's bone stock looked at the specs and i think i can take him. need input on what anyone thinks. my mods are in the sig, and by then i'll have the new converter, stage 2 blower cams, and lca's on. wanting any other helpful hints.

he still wouln't spin as bad as the gt500 IMO, but he'll need tires too.
I've seen over a half dozen gt500's on stock/street tires hit the wall on the 1-2 shift they spin so bad.

not really, I just spend a lot of time at the track & when they first came out, most people that had them thought they were hot **** & some of them got knocked down a peg or too.
I'm not saying the cars aren't fast, but bone stock, they aren't all that.

Yeah if you have tires and he is on street tires you will prob get him, i beat a Z06 Vette in the 1/8th before my cams while i was on crappy Sumo's. I didnt get much traction but his vette spun a lot worse than my car.

This guy had 412 WHP and 468 WTQ with my cams and some spray, ita a 4.6 2V and the GT500 looks like it was stock.

yeah i'm not knocking on the gt500's awesome power. but a 500hp running 12.8, i know i've seen someone with a beast 2v on here n/a running that fast or faster

power isn't everyting, alot of high rwhp cars get sent home by cars with half the power because the guy with the power spent all his money on bragging rights.

I raced a GT500 before my 3.73's and I could out launch him to about 55mph. After that he took me. If you can get a good launch you should get far enough ahead of him.

I ran a GT500 when I wsa makin 448hp. I pulled on him pretty good, 1.5-2 cars. Your not gonna make it with 335 hp.

I was goin on the numbers in the sig, I see you mentioned cams are goin on. Your gonna need to better 400hp to have a chance, it gonna be tough to make the power u need with a stock block.
