It's been a long project, but the end is near.
First time fired up. Carbureted with crank trigger distributer 03 Mach 1 DOHC with custom JE domed pistons, Heads machined by Fox Lake Power Products Stage III CNC port job, Crower stage II cams, L&M adjustable cam gears, true CR is 12.55:1, Sullivan intake, Manley rods/valves, Total Seal stainless gapless top rings, Melling gerotor oil pump/housing, MSD programmable digital 7 plus ignition, Taylor Pro 10.4mm plug wire, MSD chevy crank trigger, MSD distributer, MSD HVC-2 coil 7 series, ATI harmonic damper, Pro form 650 double pumper, 7 qt oil pan/modified oil pick up, Kooks step headers 1.625" to 1.750" primaries, with 3" collectors.
This has been a 2+ yr project. Custom NX wet nitrous system with stand alone fuel system. 10 pt chromoly cage with swing out drivers side door bar.
Timming was only at 18-19 degrees on pump 94 octane fuel for initial breakin. The stainless coated gapless top rings will take some time to seal. The motor will be run thru several heat cycles then on the rollers for some load time.
Soon timming will be at 28-30 degrees initial on 104 octane fuel.
