This will be the first time I handled a face plated trans, it will take some time to get use to. Especially on the street, when trying to down shift. What track do you run at?

Wisconsin International Raceway. We use to run my dads car at Norwalk for the Ten Grand Nationals but havent been there in a few years. Since they moved it from 4th of July weekend

you will love your face plated trans. getting use to it on the street isnt too bad. u just have to make fast, firm shifts. same thing goes for down shifting

Sounds good! As soon as the snow is gone and we get a good rain to wash the salt away, I will be driving it on the street.

WOT shifting with a face plated trans is like no other. Im kind of anxious to see how long mine holds out.

How long you been running your trans on the street/strip? What trans do you have?

Yes I am, I did all this at my dads shop on the manual machines. I could do them at work. Would have been a lot easier if I could have. Im affraid that my week link with this trans is going to be the shift forks.

You are not kidding!!!

The last time I drove my Mach was at Norwalk back in Oct, 2007. I ran 10.80's and a pair of 10.70's with 10.73 @ 128.63 mph being my best. This was on the factory long block, factory 3650 trans and 175 nitrous shot. Of course gears, Hoosier 27" tires, drag suspension and weight reduction all included back then. Best trap speed was 129.10 mph.

Hell, I have been working on my 5.0 tempo for a long ass time. Started it when I was 14. Its on the back burner now tho

Thanks!
