the girl at the left of your sig does things for me... anyways back on track the gas mileage isn't too much different. Maybe 4mpg different..right?
5-8 depending on driving style...which means for a full tank of gas with today's prices it's very well worth the drop in power :yes

@OP... "YOU SHOULD'A GOT A V8 COMEBACKS"... for the most part, all these remarks are for me personally to say to whoever said that to my ass.

1. Lease was up on one car so I ended up buying out the car my wife drives and bought the V6 Mustang... for my kid when she get's her driver's license next year. I'll see if she needs a turbo or not, but she definitely needs duals, windstar, staggered 18s and tloc/.373 gears.

2. Besides, I keep crashing almost all my V8's. '74 302 Stang chrome bumper nicely wrapped totally around an old tree in Queens after scoring some doobs (first car I ever bought... when I was 15), 472 cu.in. Caddy on the street strip in Brooklyn against a 350 Nova, and totalled the 305 Camaro on the Long Island Expressway... don't even ask man. Good thing I saved the '68 Sally and sold her when I relocated.

3. I push my V8 Muscles on the street everyday. Even totalled that modded '00 Civic I drove to work for a bit, dang "black ice".... saw it back on the hi-way one day with the same custom body kit and "RACEMODE" stickers except the front bumper had the stock one.

4. So, I'm just practicing, training and doing the DD with my used V6 Mustang, check out their power to weight ratio and manueverabitlity and compare it to my older Muscles before I really sink my teeth into the new 2011 412 hp GT in the next year or so.

5. Besides, I've had several new Camaros (like yesterday) come up to me and try to take a nip at my black, tinted, manual, dualed, bumper-shaved, snow-tired V6 on the streets and hi-way... and they seem to drop back.... waaaaaaaaaay back.

6. You know what, it's not the cylinders... it's the driver... especially on the streets.

p.s. To you all new drivers... Drive Safe... Don't Drink and Drive!!! You'll have fun with your V6 Mustang. I LOVE MY SALLY '03!

Well there close enough for me. I don't really pay attention to gas prices I just go to the pump when the light comes on

Gas Mileage of 1999 Ford Mustang
2 things i see in your post...

1. $400+ a year on average is the difference in gas between the two (and that's just from your website...not from today's prices)

2. bad idea to run it that low over and over again...just saying lol

Well some days i go through like 30 bucks in gas

Im in highschool, i drive a lot and there are days where i throw in 30 bucks (costs about $65 to fill from empty) and its empty later that day. I almost always just grab $30 at shell for my 10 airmiles (not sure if you guys have that in the states, its a reward card)

anyways, i guess what i should have said is

for me, being someone who doesnt keep track of gas prices or how much i spend $400 a year doesnt seem like much of a difference.

but i guess i can see where your coming from being that you have responsibilities that you need money for. i can pretty much spent my cash on whatever i want.

yeah when your in highschool you can pretty much do that. enjoy it while you can :yes

@clay...it won't burn any hoses. it causes you to sometimes pick up deposits in your gas tank and drag that into your filter

well i havent had any problems, i got the car in grade 10 (almost 2 years ago) and have run it to empty almost very single time. Once time i actually ran out on the street the rpms were going down we were still moving so i pushed in the clutch then it died and luckaly we rolled to a near by pump that was like 30 feet away. :lmao

i'd change your filter...when you do tell me what comes out :yes

its not that it causes you problems, as much as it can affect MPG over time

Is it hard to change your fuel filter BTW? which kind is the most ideal one, motorcraft or AF? (if there is any) does that really affect your mileage? My gas consumption sucks lately...
takes 15ish minutes with the proper plastic filter removal tool from any autoparts...don't buy the metal tool (it sucks)...walmart sells filters for like $8 so that works out well :yes

I do not really have any smart ass comebacks when it comes to v8 owners, I usually just give them a little smile and then show them how sexy my ass end looks...:3gears...followed by  lol
