Let's call it bad blood between my crank pulley and I. One of the first mods to the car was BBK UDP's, while installing the crank pulley, the crank pulley bolt snapped in the crank. Since there was no way I was dealing with it, the car went to Ford to have the remaining bolt drilled out. Now, I have to replace the UDP's with stock pullies for my S/C and I'm scared shitless to touch the thing... Also, anyone want to trade me? BBK UDP'S for stock?

I have a secondary car to drive. So down time isn't an issue. Snapping bolts on a plley did suck though. I dont know what went wrong or if the UDP wasn't sitting right, or the bolt ws having a hard time seating the pulley.. But it was miserable. I'm looking forward to the cam swap more than a pulley swap. That scared of the thing.

Ok. Because it was one hell of a tight fit once the pulley was on the key way. The instructions then stated to use the bolts, starter bolt, then second bolt, to complete the install. I did this (and I dont find that I'm completely retarded when it comes to cars) and the freaking thing snapped. Maybe it was a faulty bolt, or operator error.

Running bolts in to pull the dampener on is a great way to destroy the threads in the crank as well. There's a reason why an installer tool exists...it's the right tool for the job. ;)
