Cool...I do wish now I would have sprung for a little more expensive flywheel. I have a bit of vibration from it not being balanced. I can live with it.

The Z bar adapter is to make the Z bar work with a roller block, because they do not have the boss tapped in the back, to put the Z bar pivot ball. If you reusing a C4, it's not needed.

Nope can't use the 289 flywheel period. It's the wrong imbalance for a late model 302. It would take all of 3 minutes for it to shake your engine apart.

+1 whatever flexplate/flywheel you use it must be a 50 oz. imbalance

If you use a 1982 or newer motor you will need a 50 oz flywheel.

Just remember that those also had a 164 tooth fly wheel.

So if you are using a late model motor and a classic bell housing,

you will need a 50 oz flywheel that is a 157 tooth count.

Yep. Sadly the 66 is going up for sale...I have been out of work for 2 months and this rebuild nearly drained my savings. We are also planning on moving back CA to be near family. I am sad to see it go but responsibility calls. :(
