Question... will intake and tuner give me better mpg? I had it on my 6 cylinder but didnt have the option to see my mpg, so I dont know if it helped or not.

Nice ride man, congrats! I'll let you know about the mpg's, I'm getting my intake/tuner in on monday. I'm hoping for a slight increase as long as I can keep my foot out of it.

Thank you! I like your color better... didn't have many options to chose from though. Im just happy I don't have a 6 cylinder anymore lol. Rite now I am averaging 14 to 15 mpg. which is gonna empty my wallet!

the last 4 cars I owned were either silver or gray, half the reason I bought this one was the color, lol. I'm averaging about 21-22mpg doing about 70% highway 30% city. it gets 25-26mpg highway only. I've been a little heavy on the throttle too, just cause it's still new to me. I'm happy with the mileage so far. Your 15mpg must be mostly city I'm guessing?

Yeah mine would be the opposite, 30 highway 70 city. But for going to work its mostly highway. Will see what I get this week. This color is alloy metallic, whats what they call it. I guess its a blend of silver and gray. At least it looks better than plain silver or grey. Hopefully tinting the windows will make it look better.

tinted windows do help all dark colored cars.

nice color and yr!! same as mine! haha

the intake/tuner will help with MPG's even if you get a "performance" tune. with all your city driving, i'd even recommend some lower gears like 4.10s. those gears will put a lot less stress on your engine going from stop light to stop light.

Not following you there. All you need to do is reset your trip odo when you fill up with gas, then when you fill up next time divide the miles by the gallons. Even if you car has an on board display for MPG, the method I just described will be much more accurate as long as your spedometer (functionally, odometer) is in calibration.

Does anyone else think the 14-15 mpg is low for a stock car? I can step on it pretty frequently with mostly city driving and am hard pressed to dip below 20 mpg, but then there is some highway and interstate mixed in. I've never done much "bumper to bumper" traffic, maybe mine would get that low too in tighter traffic.

The gas mileage on these cars are not good. I think if I drive mine at consistent speed and not punch it, I would barely hit 300 miles at a full tank of gas. So far, I have gotten like 250-275 at a full tank of gas. Mine is bone stock.

I get at least 300 miles from a tank, mixed driving and stepping on it regularly. Usually only takes 14 gallons so that's 21+ mpg, I think 23 is the highest I saw and that was mostly highway. This is with fuel containing about 10% ethanol. I've never really taken it on any 100% open road long trips, I'm pretty sure I could get 25 mpg if I stayed out of the gas and drove steady.
