Hahaha, yea, if i ever get headers, i will be going there so i can lift the whole car :)

Do y'all know of any product or something like that, that will make my stripes look new again. Every time I wash it, it gets water spots and simply is not shiny like the first day I got it...suggestions?

I'm glad you asked this because I'm wondering the same thing.

However I will say that the synthetic Turtle Wax Ice does a good job and making them look like new/shiny, however there are a lot of scratches in them from installation...

I plan on getting them redone in a year or so.

solid (or anyone else who might know)

How do remove the radio panel? I want to check if I can remove the LED's/Lights behind it. I'm thinking about changing the color of them...

rob, if you want to take the radio panel out, you have to start from the rear of your dash (the end near the passengers seat), open up the arm rest, remove the small piece of carpet, take out the 2 bolts, then use a panel remover, remove the faux leather around the e-brake by popping it out, remove the cup holder by then popping that out, unhook the wires connecting the trunk and emergency light buttons, pop out the chrome around the shifter, and work your way forward.

Its been a while since I've done it, so I'd have to go back, but its a lot of work to say the least, it took me a good hour my first time taking it apart, now i can do it in about 15 minutes if i remember the procedure.

Anyway, sorry for the short explanation i'm off to the gym

Thanks for explanation, that's a hell of a lot of work. LOL. More than I thought. I may screw around with it this weekend if I have time.

BTW, random question, how well do you know how to code in Java?

Ok guys, I have decided to take a few months break from modding. Im not on the deployment roster coming up, so no big bucks for me later (as of right now).... so i gotta get the budget back under control :) I think i have some good stuff though, so i will just try to enjoy what i have right now. Who knows, this will probably change tomorrow :)

I know what you mean. LOL.

Btw I see that you have 9" GT500's, now I know why you got them for so cheap.

I wouldnt say that they were cheap! But im glad i went with 9" and certainly glad i didnt go with 11"s. The 9"s take up the whole wheel well.

Sold the Mustang today.

Do any of yall have any complaints about the 2011 Manuals? Been looking at all the 5.0 manual problems and just wondering if yall have had any problems or know of anything.

LOL. I'm just giving ya a hard time. Honestly it was a good choice, and it'll look bad ass once you do springs in a few months or so.

I haven't programmed in Java in a long time, although its not too difficult to switch between languages. You have something you need help on?

Stewart, you are the biggest impulsive buyer on here. I'm sure in 72 hours you will have a completely different mindset/goal. lol

Congrats -- as far as the manual tranny goes, there really aren't any problems with it, just the 5.0 guys drive their transmissions to death and the few who break them, manage to come onto the forums and complain.

Anything breaking in the transmission would still be covered under warranty though, right?

Yep, unless you do something to cause the dealer to blame you...such as turbo/supercharger, maybe non-supported gears (3.55s+) that aren't built by Ford Racing

Funny story. I know a guy with a 5.0. He blew his engine with a KB supercharger on it. So its at the shop right now having all aftermarket parts taken off, so he can return the car to stock and have the dealership put in a new engine under warranty. lol

Lol can you blame him? It'd be better to spend $2000 to take off and reinstall the S/C than to pay $6k for a new engine. :p

Let Ford deal with it! That's what they get for switching from dependable Tremec's to Chinese Getrag's.

Realistically what kind of fuel economy are you getting?

There's a used 5.0 6MT with 5k miles for only $25k about 5 hours from me, I'm giving the dealer a call Saturday to see if they still have it, if they do, I'm riding up and gonna test drive it. If no transmission whine then I'm gonna see if they'll take $1000 deposit to hold it til next weekend.
