Windows have been tinted, dropped a K&N in and headlight / foglight covers will be here in a day or so. I want to buy some axle backs next and I'm looking at the Pypes Bomb's or the Pypes Violators. I'm just concerned the Bomb's will be to obnoxiously loud. How much difference is there between the two models? I just want a noticably mean sound without breaking the bank account.

I can't help you with the Bombs, as I don't know what they sound like. But I have the Violators on mine and I luv 'em. They're not too much louder at idle than stock but they're deeper sounding. Once you come off of idle, they get louder. And when you get on it, they sound great! They're deeper sounding throughout the rpm range. I'm very happy with them.

I have the Bomb and they sound loud and mean. Get them unless you're going to change out anyother exhaust parts. Swapping anything else would make them too loud.

I looked long and hard at both the PYPES BOMB and SLP Loud Mouth. I listened to all the You Tube sound bites and read all of the reviews. I went with SLP and love the the sound. It sounds mean at idle but not obnoxious. It sounds great at hard acceleration and has a great crackle when down shifting.

Just my choice... I'm sure both the Bombs and Violators sound great.

Honestly, I have the pypes violator and at first it's nice. But when you get down to it, it's way too much like stock and you'll want more. That's why I'm already looking at selling my pypes axleback and getting catback exhaust.

I think I'm leaning towards the Bomb's now. I'm more afraid of buying something that doesn't sound a whole lot meaner then the stock system then I am about my purchase sounding a little louder then I was wanting
