Its basically an engine/injector cleaner.
Cleans all the carbon out of your engine and your injectors
You can get it basically any auto place.
And you just suck 1/2 of it through the vacuum hose while its running and put the rest in the gas tank. 5 mins later, watch the smoke show

Well I noticed a difference on mine, it was the first time i did it, so id say every 8-10k is only practical.

It's definitely worth it. I have used it a number of times on my cars and it really works great. The more smoke, the dirtier it is, so if it smokes too much, you might want to repeat the process.
I can't think of the line I feed it through, but someone here will tell you for sure. Might be the brake booster...

I did it through one of the vacuum lines, on the passenger side closer to the firewall there was a rubber hose with a connecter and i just pulled the connector apart and sucked it through

do you have to do it through a vac line? i thought you could put some into the open throttle while someone regulates the engine rev, then pour the rest into the throttle and some in the oil and then let you car sit for 5 min (while off) then start it back up again and rev it and everything until there isnt any smoke, then change the oil... isnt that right?

i think pouring it into your oil would be a very bad idea. i think it just goes through intake parts.

Its fine to put it in your oil. And I would try the PCV valve on the valve covers. I have yet to do the vaccum part of the seafoam because I had a leaky spot and it wouldnt work on my manifold. It has since been replaced with a PI mainfold!
its actually really good for your motor in the oil... pour half a bottle in, run the car for a minute or two, rev it up to splash the oil around...then wait 5-10 minutes and change your oil. it breaks down all the sludge that builds upenergiesource said:

If you read the directions it will say YES, the car must be running. It needs to literally SUCK the seafoam into the engine. Now, try to keep a rhythm so you don't choke it and stalls on you. After that, shut it off and wait 5 minutes, then start it and enjoy the special effects. Rev a few times then drive it like you stole it, that's when the real cleaning takes effect.

read the can and follow the instructions EXACTLY. I have poured it in my fuel and oil. as well as suckes some into my vac line. My car produced VERY little smoke especially for 95k miles.

i just did the seafoam through the pcv vac... followed instructions (1/2 pint, turned off car, waited 5 min)... when i started it, no smoke or anything, i even took it out for a spin redlining it and still no smoke, is this bad?

I wouldnt redline it lol...not good for any car. But I guess your car is really freaking clean if you did it right.

redline as in reved it to 5800 or wherever the redline starts, not actually reved it until it hurt it|TH|BLaCkStAnG said:
