well you'll notice it and thats what counts :yes
So i went to my local shop and talked to the head mechanic there ( he is a family friend ). He said i he could do that set up for me but it would cost about 500$ for everything. But then he said to me that he swears up and down that any kind of exhaust put on a v6 mustang will sound like ****. So im really not sure. I mean ive heard your guys and people on youtube and they sounded fine. But this guy is a professional and I know he wouldnt just lie because hes a fan. So now im kinda puzzled. And i want to be SURE for 500$

I love how mine sounds and it only cost me 75 bucks to get it mandrel bent and everything. But thats with no mufflers or anything like that.

:bow:drink
VID please. cause if its loud thats what i wanna do i dont have to worry about emissions tests in indiana
This is the only video I have. It's like 5 seconds lol. The shop was about to pull it off the lift so I got a vid real quick. I would take another one but the car is in florida and I'm in Hawaii.

i've done all i can do...if you want to listen to a "professional" that occasionally puts on v6 exhaust vs an entire mustang forum of 20,000+ members go right ahead lol.

as for the price it depends on location...in my area you're looking at around $300 for a full exhaust...some people on here say they pay around $600...so first off i'd call around...screw going to a family friend just because they're a friend...go to the place that will give you the best deal....don't be afraid to call every shop within 3 towns :yes that gives you the chance to haggle between shops

please don't lol...been there done that and it's crappy (even with a proper midpipe...which in my case was a prochamber)
lol yea i understand that, as of right now im just looking for cheap and loud. i think i will cut the cats first weld the sheild to the pipe i weld back on there for a visual lol then go from there. when its done i want people to know its me :eek:

now if money was no option what i want would be o/r H pipe to flowmaster 40or44 to turn downs right after the axle, or 3in tips dont know yet

this **** pisses me off, every guy i talked to said the same ****, but think of it this way, they dont have v6's and prolly never have and if they didnt they didn't upgrade exhaust, and if they did they didn't do it the best way like were advising you.

and 500 for what exactly? if its just a catback thats pretty pricey, you might as well just buy the mac catback kit and swap the mufflers for thrush end up being 400+shop labor id imagine 40ish? and you'd have quality bent pipes

like this one? http://www.cruizinconceptswholesale.com/proddetail.asp?prod=MAC38LCATBACKEXHAUSTKIT9498SINGLE
that actually would save me about 100$

like this one? 99-04 Ford Mustang 3.8L V6 MAC Cat-Back Exhaust System
that actually would save me about 100$
well that kit you posted is a 2-1-2 kit using a y pipe...if you just want the look of duals but not the sound then yeah that would work.

i just don't know why you're having so much trouble with this lol...at this point since you friends exhaust shop is going to charge you so much you might as well just settle and get one you can put on yourself at home with a jack and stands (the one you posted could do that)

V6 section's motto should be cheap and as ghetto as possible*

Buy thrush's and weld them on and go turn down.... If you wan't to sound like a tractor by all means go without mufflers. Remember this is a v6 mustang, you want Loud & still try to sound good you pay for it, its not a GT where you can swap to a Loud Mouth or a Magnapack and have something loud or something kinda loud and sounds like sex.

Also whats the obsession with wanting to be the loudest most heard mustang on the block and having 0 power to back it up, doesn't that fall under the ricer category?

i think im just gonna get a catback i can bolt on myself. Wayyyy cheaper. I can always change it if i hate it like you said.

If your doing exhaust do the whole thing, LTs (or shorts if your emission controlled) high flow cats (emissions) X/H/prochamber (personal preference) and flow 40s to tips or turn downs (personal preference)
