I just bought long tubes, x pipe, cc plates, upper and lower control arms, and upr bumpsteer kit. I am ordering my upr k member kit tomorrow. I need advice on what spring rate to get with the coil overs. I have the eibach pro kit now so I will be using those springs in the rear for the time being. The car is a daily driver/ weekend warrior. So I will be driving it daily with occasional track use. Need to know what spring rate so I can order tomorrow. I've seen some guys running the upr with 14-130 for the coil overs in front. Thanks guys! -02truebluegt

12-250 is pretty much matched to stock 12-350 might be closer to your eibachs. 14 inch springs are not recommended on the street from what I've heard

i just picked up a brand new UPR k member with 14130 springs for 450 today.. not sure what spring rate everyone is using but i couldnt pass up the deal
Unless your car has a ton of weight loss, those 130's are probably going to be too soft for you.

I would agree with 300-350's in this application. I have run 14 inch springs forever, the only problem is that with softer spring rates, they bow in the middle and contact the strut more than 12" springs. I would however still recommend a 12" spring for most people.

I started with 14-175's on my car and now have 14-130's it definitely isn't going around corners quickly. The 175's road pretty comfortably and I didn't notice a great deal of difference in the way the car handled with the stock springs. They seems to be a decent compromise between street driving and drag strip performance.

I run the 12-200's on my car with the UPR k-member kit.

If anything when you call speak with Adam, he'll be able to help you out...he's very knowledgable when it comes the the suspension.

My recommendation would be to go with the 12-250's to keep the softer street feel.

Cool. Are you on any the local boards like daytonstangboard.com or stangbangerz.com?
i registered at daytonstangboard and everything but i cant post or do anything... idk if they havent enabled my account or what, im under the same name and everything, i registered that account around december too

Hey true i just ordered my k-member kit today as well. The best rate for us thats available through them is the 12-250 set. they have a 12-350 but imo thats a bit too heavy duty for our cars. I talked to a guy names Adam on the phone from there too and he said that was the best choice for a factoryish weight mustang.

Start at 250 and see what you like... springs are cheap enough you can change them if you don't like em. By the way I've gotta give props to Adam at UPR, he bailed me out of a bind yesterday. Always nice, always polite and got a fuel pump on the truck before it left.

Off topic but danielle what kind of power are you putting down with that set up right now?
In the 'cold' Florida weather (it was maybe mid to high 60's out lol) in December it was making 10 psi and made 410rwhp and 420rwtq. :) Now in the heat it's making about 9 psi, and is down about 4mph in the 1/4...so I'm sure it's making high 300's.

No way I'd try to daily drive on 130's with a full weight GT, unless you have Strange adjustables or similar and crank them to max settings, and then drive like an old man around turns, especially going in and out of parking lots. My car weighs 500lbs less than a stock GT and has 150's in it, and I don't try to take anything that resembles a sharp curve with any speed.

It's just not worth the effort to swap them out instead of waiting on a $50 set of springs.

Definitely stay away from the 130s. Bullitt did you ever get your Team Z relocated uppers on and try 'em out?

No, I bought these instead. Just waiting on them to get finished and shipped to me. Like I said, this is turning into Project Overkill
.......... I have the Team Z lowers and ARB though.
